TEXT

1. GC: You will give the relation of this entity and the universe, and the universal forces; giving the conditions which are as personalities, latent and exhibited in the present life; also the former appearances in the earth plane, giving time, place and the name, and that in each life which built or retarded the development for the entity; giving the abilities of the present entity, that to which it may attain, and how. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: (In going back over years from the present - " - '39 - changes - '34 - yes - anxieties - '20 - yes - " etc., on back to birth date.)
3. Yes, we have the records here of that entity now known as or called [2706].
4. In giving an interpretation of the records as we find them, these we choose with the desire and purpose that this information be a helpful experience for the entity; enabling the entity to better fulfill the purposes for which it entered this present sojourn.
5. Then, in attempting to analyze or interpret the records, these we find as latent urges in faults and virtues of the entity, when taken from a composite of the astrological and material urges in the earth:
6. One well gifted in the ability of a conversationalist.
7. One that has trained - in former experiences as in the present - to be a good speaker, a good writer, a very good organizer.
8. One inclined, however, at times to lose the temper too easily; and thus may cause rifts or harsh feelings between the entity and those who might make for the better material, mental and spiritual relationships.
9. Hence there would be warnings respecting the control of self when tempted to flare at something misinterpreted, misunderstood, or that is at times at variance with policies or ideas of the entity.
10. In interpreting the records, we find those urges which arise from astrological aspects of Mars, Venus, Mercury and Jupiter as the greater influence in the latent talents, and in some manifested activities of the entity.
11. One in Mars we find excellent as to its abilities to "make good" in any field of activity chosen by the entity, and NATURALLY energetic. However, the entity is one easily tempted to flare at those things at variance to the entity.
12. One of high mental abilities and in appreciation of art of words and word pictures. Hence the abilities in writing, in depicting, in dramatizing or characterizing conditions as well as individuals; and the individual may apply self in these directions in an advantageous manner.
13. In Jupiter we find a benevolent influence as may deal with the activities of self as related to the public, yet the expression of same would be through others, or through things.
14. Hence in the tendency to visualize or to make things anew, or to write, or to make speech - but for others; though the abilities in self to direct same are apparent. These are dependent, then, upon the manner in which same might be applied in the relationships to others.
15. If these are tempered with the spiritual import, great may be the accomplishment of good by the entity. Through the experience there will be the opportunities of the entity handling large quantities of moneys, as indicated in Mars and Jupiter.
16. As to the appearances in the earth, - these we find quite varied, as may be indicated from the abilities of the entity to manifest or express in many varied ways or channels of activity; though the entity will have to do rather with the entertaining or controlling or influencing of the thought of others. Hence the greater necessity that there be IDEALS, as well as ideas; and that the ideals be tempered not only with virtue but with understanding, grace, peace, and the spiritual hope upon which the real development depends, - in the individuals influenced.
17. While not all of the appearances may be given here, these are indicated as having to do with the meeting of those experiences in the present:
18. Before this the entity was in the land in which it is an active influence at present; during those early settlings and in the periods when there were great expansions, when there was a great inflow of others from other lands.
19. The entity then, in a semi-political way and manner, influenced much of those for the caring for and the attempts to unify purposes of the new individuals, or home seekers. Good and bad came from same, for when there was the use of the abilities for selfish purposes or for personal aggrandizements, these brought periods of a great depression, - not only in the developing of the soul forces but in the real mental self. When the activities were used for the universality of the many, greater were the material as well as the mental blessings.
20. Then the entity was in the name Sloane Thornhill.
21. From that experience we find in the present the abilities as a promoter, as a scribe, as a writer; as a writer of speeches, lectures, or those to formulate opinions. Use these purposefully, as creative influences, or channels, and not for personal gain or for aggrandizing of selfish motives.
22. Before that the entity was in the Roman land, in those periods when individuals were chosen to act as the scribe, - or as the confidential or social secretary, as would be termed today. Though as a servant, the entity was as such an one to those in authority and in power; thus mentally and actually the entity controlled the policies of those who formulated relationships between the various groups of the lands to which many of those individuals were sent as emissaries or representatives. For, the entity then formulated the speech and the activity of men, - in the name Theoeurus.
23. Throughout the experience the entity gained; and from same in the present there are the abilities to declaim or declare or depict such in the expressions of things or conditions or relationships.
24. Also there are those things in the present to be met from that sojourn. For, the entity pitied self. And, an individual soul that begins to pity self soon finds fault with others and forgets the real freedom. For, they that would have life must give it; they that would have pleasure must make it for others rather than self. They that would have love in its broader sense must themselves be lovely to others. Not as patting on one cheek to be patted on the other, but for the deeper truth. For that truth which is of the spiritual nature.
25. For, with what measure ye mete it is measured to thee again. The entity practiced it for others, but deep in self RESENTED - because of the position.
26. Hence in the present, in that as may be builded for others, learn the freedom of the soul.
27. Before that the entity was in the Grecian land, during those periods when there were many expansions in many directions.
28. The entity then was a speaker, yet a sculptor also; hence the appreciation of the beautiful, not only in speech, not only in the depicting of body or of the beauty of nature, but in all manners, was a portion of the entity's experience through that activity.
29. But with the changes to the "city in the hills and the plains," self-indulgence was brought in the determining factors for the entity through that sojourn.
30. Eventually, when the entity came to be an interpreter for those of many climes, the entity gained.
31. Thus the ability to see the funny side of every nature should be greatly cultivated in the experience of the entity in the present; not merely the ridiculous but the many sides and many approaches to every experience, - and see them, analyze them from all. Find the good, not the bad in every experience. Cultivate the finding of beauty, grace, loveliness in every experience. For, it is for thine OWN development. And that of which we partake in every experience becomes a part of the mind and soul of the individual in its relationships with others. Just as the body or the mind becomes that upon which it feeds.
32. Before that the entity was in the Egyptian land, during those periods when there were the preparations for individuals and groups for the various activities throughout the active forces then of the earth.
33. The entity was among those who were the aids to the King, the Priest and those who set individuals to activities in varied lands.
34. Thus the interests in those things both old and new, - the ability to listen as well as to make given expressions for the understanding of various activities of individuals. Thus the ability as a writer, as a director of those who portray to others those things that may influence their moral, their mental, their spiritual natures.
35. Know that each soul enters for the making of itself one with Creative Forces, or God. Life is continuous. The individual is free to use those God-given forces for creative purposes. When these are turned to that of self, or self-aggrandizement, they may easily sour and become shot through with the darts of the devil.
36. As to the abilities of the entity in the present, that to which it may attain, and how:
37. First, know thine own ideal, - spiritually, mentally, materially. And know the author of thy ideal, being sure it is founded in that which is creative in its nature, eternal in its abilities to meet EVERY influence that may arise in the experience of self.
38. And then study to show thyself approved, not only in thine own eyes but in the eyes of thy Creator, thy Maker; that ye may indeed be one with Him.
39. In those fields of writing, or of directing, in which the ideals and the policies may be expressed as related to morals, home life, - national and international, - these may be the channels through which the entity may find the greater expression.

41. (Q) What was the exact time of my birth?
    (A) Eight forty-five a.m.
42. (Q) What are the karmic associations between me and my wife, [2655]?
    (A) Parallel the experiences in the various sojourns in the earth, when the ideals of each were indicated, and it will be seen that which is to be met one in the other. For, each is a complement to the other, if the ideals are applied in those fields indicated from and for each, in those sojourns.
43. (Q) How do you find that we could be of mutual, constructive aid to each other?
    (A) Just as indicated. Let each be the complement to the other.
44. (Q) In what field or professional activity would I be most profitably employed?
    (A) As indicated, in that of writing, directing or speaking.
45. (Q) It has long been my desire to establish an abiding home somewhere other than New York City. Please direct me WHERE to go and WHEN.
    (A) Within the next four to five years, but let it be within the environs of New York City; that is, the countryside, or the towns nigh unto same. For, there the entity will find greater possibilities, - unless the environ is changed entirely to the West coast. But we would advise close to the environs of New York.
46. (Q) What can be done to improve my present relations with my mother, [...]?
    (A) These have been strained through misinterpreting and misunderstandings. Find where ye agree. Do not make the disagreements paramount in thy expressions. Dwell more upon the agreements rather than the disagreements.
47. (Q) In this new draft (which took place March 17th), is it indicated as to what will happen to me?
    (A) This as we find will depend upon what claims in the classification are made by the entity. It might be used advantageously if there is the attempt to aid in the preparations or in the directing of the social or entertaining life of groups, or camps, or such activities; for, THESE activities control the morals of men at peace or at war.
48. (Q) On which of the following new radio program ideas for commercial sponsorship should I concentrate: MEET AMERICA - THIS IS MY DESTINY - COUNTY FAIR - LET'S GO TO WORK?
    (A) MEET AMERICA, and LET'S GO TO WORK.

    (A) Keep the spiritual influences directing, ever; not as the paramount issues, but the motivating force in each life.
