4/13/42 [
2719]'s letter to EC:
Dear Mr. Cayce;
You have no idea as to the happiness you brought me upon
receipt of your Reading made April 4th. My prayers have been
answered.
Even in anticipation of an association with [
257] (which you
AGAIN advise) I feel happier than I have been in years. My
mental attitude has taken a decided change and I am filled
with hope and enthusiasm that I know can be sustained, once
my association is accomplished.
After about thirty years of faithful service to the business
which my grandfather established in 1868, I leave May 1st
wishing now that I had taken your advice many years ago. I
am certain my many sorrows grief and worries would have been
at a minimum.
I just received a letter from [
257] advising that he would
meet me in Arthurdale this week and I am delighted. I feel
certain that we can get together as I advised him on Feby.
15th that I was ready to burn all my bridges and take any
position he might offer until such time that we may work out
an association that would make it possible to increase my
income and I assured him that I felt sure our association
would improve my spiritual, mental, physical and financial
status to such an extent that I would be starting life anew.
I feel certain a number of fine positions await me in Ohio
and elsewhere should I so desire but my mind is made up - IT
IS MY BEST EFFORT TO [
257].
My son will apply for a personal reading sometime in the near
future. I now realize that the questions relative his status
should have been submitted individually.
You, Mr. Cayce, have contributed a great service to my
welfare.
Thanks!
Cordially [
2719]
P.S. I will arrange to pay the Assn. my balance in the near
future.
