To an ounce and one-half of Distilled Water add two ounces
of Strained Honey. Let this come to a boil - not boiling,
but almost to a boil - just sufficient to skim off the
refuse. Then skim off. When nearly cool, add - in the
order named:
Grain alcohol..........................1/2 ounce,
Fusion of Wild Ginseng (good fusion)...1/2 ounce,
Fusion of wild Ginger..................1/4 ounce.
Shake well before taking. The dose would be half a
teaspoonful once each day, before retiring.
Begin with osteopathic treatments, with special reference
to those areas indicated from which there arises the lack
of proper coordinant circulation in the system.
In the matter of the diet, - have plenty of citrus fruits,
plenty of whole grain cereals and reinforced bread. No white
bread at any time. The whole wheat or reinforced bread is
the better. Do not have the cereals AND the citrus fruits
at the same meal.
No white potatoes and macaroni at the same meal, or the like.
No hog meat of any kind. Only a little crisp breakfast bacon
may be taken occasionally.
Fish, fowl and lamb should be the principal meats, - these
never fried, but rather broiled, stewed or baked. Plenty
of well cooked vegetables.
Let at least one meal each day consist principally of raw
fresh vegetables. Not too much of these, but at least the
greater part of one meal each day - and use oils rather than
other characters of dressings upon same.
Do these things and we will make for better conditions for
this body.
After the properties have been taken for some ten days, and
after at least three of the osteopathic adjustments have
been made, - it would be well that a colonic be given.
Give this very carefully, and DO use body-temperature
water, with a level teaspoonful of baking soda and a
heaping teaspoonful of table salt stirred to each gallon
of water. Have the water not hotter, not colder than
body temperature. In the rinse water do use at least
a tablespoonful of Glyco-Thymoline to each quart of water
injected. These will not produce strains upon the system
if done in this manner.
In a month to six weeks have another colonic.
And, by those periods, we should find much better conditions
for this body.
Ready for questions.
(Q) What causes the nervousness and irritation of colon?
(A) Just as indicated, - the pressures upon the sympathetic
nerve system through those areas indicated.
Do as outlined and we will bring better conditions for this
body.
We are through for the present.

experience with preparing such compounds.)
BACKGROUND
3/23/42 Twin sister [
2693]'s letter: "She has had a number
of nervous breakdowns, and the doctors and clinics that have
examined her say that they can find nothing wrong. She has
spells of weakness and seemingly can't talk or move a finger.
She had a breakdown last spring and was in bed
3-5 months.
After getting up she did nothing (not even housework), but
about 8 wks. ago she had another breakdown and has been in
bed ever since. It is a most baffling situation, and we all
get rather discouraged. Surely, there must be something to
cause this condition. She is married. At present she and
her husband are boarding at my home... Could you give her a
rdg.?"
4/06/42 Sister [
2693] submitted questions: "What causes the
nervousness and irritation of colon? X-ray shows no ulcers,
but irritation, but they give her nothing to relieve
condition, and say there is nothing there to cause the
nervousness."
