TEXT

1. GC: You will give the relation of this entity and the universe, and the universal forces; giving the conditions which are as personalities, latent and exhibited in the present life; also the former appearances in the earth plane, giving time, place and the name, and that in each life which built or retarded the development for the entity; giving the abilities of the present entity, that to which it may attain, and how. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: (In going back over years from the present - " - '35 - changes - '31 - disturbing - '29 - '20 - changes - '95 - an illness - " etc., on back to birth date.)
3. Yes - we are given the records here of that entity now known as or called [2727].
4. Varied interpretations might be drawn from the records as we find them here, but these we choose with the desire and purpose that this may be a helpful experience for the entity; enabling the entity to better fulfill - in a spiritual, mental and material way - those purposes for which the entity entered this sojourn; minimizing the faults, magnifying the virtues. This the entity should do, even in its relationships and dealings with others.
5. When a conclusion is drawn, from the combined inclinations from astrological aspects and sojourns of the entity in the consciousness outside the physical, and from what the entity through the varied experiences has done with the urges, - we find that these produce (as do the environmental and hereditary forces) influences in the manner of thinking, in the urges latent and manifested as to mental, material and spiritual aspects of the entity.
6. These we find apparent and latent as characteristics of the entity:
7. One very manly; with a concept of an ideal, yet not always judging material or spiritual things by their correct values. Hence, while the entity is sincere, it finds that it makes differences between self and other individuals by the judgements, or by the criticisms.
8. Remember the universal law, that as ye sow ye reap; as ye judge so will it be measured to you again. This made a practical thing, and not merely theoretical, in the daily affairs, will bring much greater contentment in the entity's experience.
9. The entity is one very high-minded mentally. Thus the entity is one of a literary inclination. Thus the dealings with things as individuals, as dealing with individuals, should or would be the channels in which the greater abilities of the entity as a whole may find expression.
10. Thus in the present day mode of advertising, or business management through advertising, rather than through individuals, or those in the present conditions that have to do with relationships with varied or different countries would be a manner or means of the entity giving expression in its greater field of service, - as in trade relations with other countries. This will be seen from the activities and the application of the entity, not only in astrological but in material sojourns.
11. While the astrological influences are apparent, we find that these do not in this particular case run true to the ordinarily termed astrological effects; varying because of the application the entity has made in those relationships. Just as that influence termed by some students as karma. This is the natural law, yes. But there IS the law of grace, of mercy. And this is JUST as applicable as the law of karma, dependent upon the stress or the emphasis put upon varied things.
12. The entity finds itself often in spats or little differences with others. This arises either from material things the entity has chosen or from those with whom the entity has to deal. These oft produce a great deal of anxiety, and those tendencies for the expressions of the entity to justify self cause much of the disturbance. Right and justice need no justification, only glorification in their application with things as well as with others.
13. Thus the abilities of the entity would be greatly magnified in those channels of efforts as indicated.
14. The entity is attractive to the opposite sex, more attracted than being attracted; that is, more oft the entity finds difficulty in preventing others of the opposite sex from making advances, in its dealings with the opposite sex.
15. Astrologically, we find Mercury, Venus, Jupiter and Uranus are the the greater influence for creative forces.
16. The Moon, and at times even the Sun are the conflicting influences. This rarely appears, however, save in conjunction with those activities in Mars, - which is only a PART influence in the entity.
17. Thus we find one of high mental abilities, one appreciative of beauty and symmetry of things that proclaim or portray the virtues of things as well as conditions.
18. One who finds that the dealings have to do with relationships with others THROUGH things, rather than in the DIRECT relationship or activity.
19. One that finds periods of extremes, as may be indicated in the Uranian forces.
20. As to the appearances in the earth, - not all may be given here, at this time. Only those that indicate the trend in the characteristic personalities of the entity are those influencing the entity more in the present.
21. Before this, then, the entity was in the land of the present nativity, in what was then known as Fort Dearborn; during those periods when it became necessary for the evacuation - when there were indicated the greater abilities of the entity. Just as in everyday experience, it is not the quiet period that brings always the real value or real development or retarding of an individual experience, but that period when anxieties of a mental, material or spiritual nature arise. For, as has been indicated of old, there is daily set before each individual good and evil, life and death. And man chooses; he chooses through the gift of the will from the creative forces. Thus each choice, each decision, should ever be tempered with SPIRITUAL purposes, and these apply whether in the trade relations, the marital relations, friendships, just acquaintances, or in the so-called business dealings or with the public. For, THIS is creative. And that which is creative grows. That which would take advantage of or belittle the hopes of any individual, under any circumstances, is belittling, degrading, retarding to that soul entity who uses same.
22. In that experience the entity, in the name Curtis Rymonald, made changes to the lands about the northern portions of Ohio and to the western portions of Pennsylvania. And there the entity began to establish, from those activities experienced in the Dearborn area, the trade relations with varied groups. Not merely buying and selling as a trader, but making surveys for individuals as to the needs of peoples in varied vicinities or portions of the land; finding that needed in other portions and trading the excesses that would be advantageous to the material benefit of those various groups.
23. Hence those abilities in advertising, or in formulating trade relations, that through the present emergencies might build the entity to a position for better trade relationships with other lands, for the good of the entity's own land - or for the abilities that will arise, or the purposes and opportunities that will arise in the experience when the present emergencies and changes are passed in the few years to come.
24. Before that the entity was in the English land, when there were those turmoils of church and state, or for the freedom of the people.
25. During that period the entity was an aide to Cromwell in establishing relationships for the supplying of needs for the bringing about of better relationships in that land during that period.
26. Then in the name Alfred O. Dunhill, the entity gained; and yet the differences which arose brought periods of disturbance to the entity. For, the uncertainty of conditions in dealing with those peoples that held to heritage of birth brought the varied disturbances.
27. Remember, in the spiritual forces, He is neither respecter of persons nor of bodies, but of purposes, desires, hopes, fears.
28. Before that the entity was in the Egyptian land, when there were the attempts to reestablish after the various disturbances had arisen from the rebellions.
29. The entity was among those chosen for establishing relationships with varied lands.
30. Thus we find the abilities as a buyer of goods, as a judgment of the needs of groups, as a judgment of peoples as a whole; as dealing with THINGS as being purposes of individual activity.
31. The name then was Der-On-El.
32. As to the abilities of the entity in the present, that to which it may attain, and how:
33. First, as to thy ideal of moral and mental relationships, - know that these are altogether founded in spiritual aspects. For, as the body finds itself, - it is body, mind, soul. The soul lives on, builded by the mind. The body is the material manifestation. Know thy ideal.
34. Then study to show thyself approved unto that ideal; condemning none, if ye would not be condemned.
35. In those fields of service indicated as an ad writer, as a writer, as a writer of fiction for a purpose, as in trade relationships with other lands, - these be channels in which the activities of the entity may find the greater expression.
36. Let thy yeas be yea, to be sure, but tempered with mercy as ye would have grace or mercy shown thee.
37. Ready for questions.
38. (Q) How should I go about to demonstrate the great potentialities I feel that I have for the good to America during these coming decades?
    (A) As we find, in those relationships that have been indicated, - where the entity may serve in the trade relationships with other lands.
These may be found by making application for this activity. The natural tendencies and natural abilities will aid, as the entity progresses in these directions.
39. (Q) How may I be used to my full capabilities?
    (A) As indicated, by making the application of that latent and manifested within self, in which the greater potential efforts may be sincerely manifested, mentally, spiritually and materially.
40. We are through for the present.

BACKGROUND

1. 4/02/42 Mr. [2727]'s ltr. to EC:
Mr. Edgar Cayce Association For Research And Enlightenment Virginia Beach, Va.
   Dear Mr. Cayce,
In reply to your letter and interesting booklet I enclose a check for twenty dollars, together with my application for membership (associate) in your association. Also, I have filled in the blank requesting a reading.
The type of reading I prefer is what I believe you call a Life reading. I want to know enough of my past incarnations to explain my present nature and development, but particularly I want to know what activities to engage in for the next ten or twenty years in order to reach a much higher plane of usefulness - mentally, spiritually, and, yes, materially and physically. I feel that I have GREAT potentialities for good to America during these coming decades but I don't know how to go about to demonstrate it. I am a well trained business executive but believe that I am not using myself, or am not being used to one-tenth of my capabilities. Please try to help me.
After reading your booklet, and from what I heard of you from Miss [1436] I have faith that you can do so.
   Very sincerely yours [2727]
