This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 24th day of April, 1942, in accordance with request made by the daughter - [...], new Associate Member of the Ass'n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc., recommended by Dr. W. H. Ketchum.

TEXT

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here.
2. As we find, while there is a feeling of a little improvement this morning, the conditions are such that there is a consuming of the abilities of the body to meet - or to create resistances to meet - the inroads being made upon the vital energies of the body. And the general weakness that is gradually being indicated in the circulation, with the inroads from inability of assimilation, makes conditions rather serious. The vital energies are being used up.
3. However, we find that these administrations may aid in giving vitality and allay the sufferings. And if there is a response there may be given further instructions for helpful forces for the body.
4. First, - we would apply the ultra-violet light, with the injection of the green plate glass BETWEEN the ultra-violet and the body. This should be about ten or twelve inches square (the green glass), and of the heavy glass. The ultra-violet (preferably the Mercury Quartz) would be at least thirty-eight inches from the body. Apply this over the area particularly from the lower portion of the lungs to the lower portion of the back, see? Do this for at least a minute and a half to three minutes - each day - once each day.
5. A few minutes before applying the light, give internally an eighth grain of Animated Ash. This will aid in alleviating and staying those consumptive activities of the vital circulation between heart, liver and kidneys, and aid in staying those conditions that are so detrimental to the body.
6. We would give beef juice as medicine. Give a teaspoonful about every three hours.
7. Whole grain cereals and the citrus fruit juices would be as foods for the body.
8. Each evening we would massage the body, gently, with an equal combination of Peanut Oil and Olive Oil; this over the abdomen and the chest and along the whole length of the spine.
9. Do these, and in ten days to two weeks - if there is the response - further instructions will be given.
10. Ready for questions.

    If you have trouble securing the green plate glass, Mrs. [757], P.O. Box 587, ... may be able to help you - as she had to use a green glass in her treatment several years ago. Do not use the ultraviolet without the green glass, and without taking the Ash internally first.
