This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 16th day of June, 1942, in accordance with request made by the self - Mr. [2764], new Associate Member of the Ass'n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc., recommended by Mr. [2816] via Mr. [2051].

Present: Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. Mr. [2764].

TEXT

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [2764].
3. Now, as we find, while conditions have advanced so that there may not be the entire cure, there CAN be some help, some relief for the body.
4. As indicated, there are the inroads of infectious forces, and the removal of portions of same - with the conditions that arise from same - has delayed the effective activities.
5. Then, we would give those things as we find that may be the more beneficial in the present:
6. At least three times each week we would apply a strong solution of Jimson-weed tea; this to be put on as packs or stupes along the upper portion of the spine, - from the base of the brain to the 4th or 5th dorsal; that is, from the base of the brain to that area just below the shoulder blades, see? See, it is the infection in the throat and mouth, and the scar tissue, that causes the wasting away - which this application will retard. Put about six ounces of the weed, stalk and leaf, and burr if young, in half a gallon of water and boil down to a pint. Use this on packs along the spine, from the base of the head to that area between and below the shoulders. Put it on warm, and allow it to remain about twenty to thirty minutes.
7. After removing the stupe or pack, massage this area with Castor Oil. Pour the oil into an open saucer or dish, dipping fingers in same and massaging all the body will absorb. Do this each time following the application of the Jimson-weed [stramonium] solution or tea, or stupe.
8. Take, regularly, the Pure Beef Juice.
9. Also take plenty of the strong soup prepared from fowl, or with ANY form that this may be the more easily assimilated.
10. Do have a thorough cleansing of the alimentary canal at least once a month; this through the colonic irrigation.
11. Do these things, if we would make the better condition in those activities of this body, [2764].
12. Ready for questions.
13. Keep the mental attitude constructive. Do not belittle. Do not condemn. Do not give vent to ANY activity that is not creative, constructive. Healing must come from within. The healing must be in the mind and the soul, if the body will be clean.
14. We are through for the present.

BACKGROUND

1. Most of tongue has been removed, - just a little stub left which enables him to talk, after a fashion. Suffers terribly. No hope according to doctors - nothing to do except dope him to relieve pain.
