4/01/43 My Dear Mr. Cayce: In addition to the enclosed check,
I owe you a thousand apologies for not having paid sooner
& not having expressed to you the great enjoyment your
beautiful book has brought us.
Mrs. [
1158] was here recently and I so enjoyed further word
of you & the book. It will be a very important book, I am
sure - and I have done my small part in spreading the good
word.
Mrs. [
1158] feels I should have a "check reading" as I grow
increasingly worse, it seems. I have to leave tomorrow for
two weeks with my mother who is ill, so thusly I must defer
the reading. Will you arrange some date for me after May 1,
and write me?
My continued illness, and many family complications are my
excuse for my really shameful neglect.
Sincerely, Mrs. [

Dear Mr. Cayce: I have been very negligent about writing
for my check reading, but hope it may not be in the too late
future. I have been VERY miserable. My questions are: Can
this lameness and stiffness be removed?
Is my weakness & profuse sweating part of the menopause
disturbance?
What can be done to remove the great lameness & cramping in
my knees?
Is this check reading included in my original fee, or am I to
send another?
Sincerely yours Mrs. [

EC wrote making appointment which she did not keep - wrote 6
mos. later for another appointment. GD
