1/26/43 [
2778]'s letter to [
1523]:
Dearest [
1523]
Have just finished reading my Life Reading [2778-2], and I'm
so ashamed, I could die. Especially about the parts that
said I had patience, perseverance, and kindness - after the
way I acted last week! Why didn't you just give me a good
hard spanking, when I was lying on the rubdown table? It's
what every spoiled child needs. The only excuse I can offer
is that sometimes, I feel so useless and unimportant to
people and myself that I think I can't stand it. Anyway,
from now on, I firmly resolve to try to be the beauty, the
joy, & means of scattering sunshine to others. And keep the
faith & belief that I'll be cured so as to be able to fulfill
God's plan for me.
Another thing, honey bun, I know in my heart, that you love
me as no one ever has before, else you couldn't do so much
for me.
Thank you from the very bottom of my heart, and I mean it.
Lovingly, [
2778]
[Above was written after a very disturbing mental period for
[
2778], after her return to Va. from a visit to her home in
Pa.]
