6/20/51 [

1523]:
Dear [
1523]
My boss is out of town and not having too much to do, I
thought it would be a good idea to get a note off to you
before my vacation, which starts Friday evening. I am only
taking one week now and saving the second week for later, as
I expect to move into a new apartment and want the time to
fix it up and really enjoy it.
Had a funny experience last Sunday that I thought you might
like to hear about. I was visiting a girl friend in ...,
Ohio. She was wonderful to me when we went to Business
School two years ago - carrying my books, waiting on me, etc.
In fact lots of times I used to protest and tell her not to
do so much, not being used to such service. I have visited
her quite a few times in the 1st year and a half, and the
whole family just knock themselves out to be hospitable.
Well, anyway, to get on with the story - we were sitting at
the table Sunday evening talking, and somehow or other the
subject of Indians came up. (girl friend) said, "I always
loved to read about the Indians and wish that I could have
lived among them" or words to that effect. Anyway, I imagine
she must have had some association with me in Dearborn. I
have often wondered where we had had contact before.
I don't often mention reincarnation to people anymore. To
many people think you are queer if you have beliefs like
that. And some of the good people of my church - oh my!
"Why of course there isn't such a thing as reincarnation" and
they are so self-righteous. I don't say anything but I know
what I know, as the saying goes.
Hope your Mother [
1541] is feeling a lot better. What seems
to be the trouble? Do her hands still break out?
Have you gotten your furniture painted yet? I'll probably be
doing some of the same in the next month. I like to mess
around with paint, etc.,
Am leaving Sunday for Boston, have you ever been there?
Expect to see a lot of new sights and enjoy my visit with a
girl friend that i haven't seen in ten years.
Write when you can, [

2/12/59 Note by [
1523], [daughter of [
1541]]: Interesting
that all thru the years - each Birthday and Christmas, as
well as other times, [
2778] has kept in touch with [
1541] -
see her [
2778]'s second Life Rdg., - seems to imply that this
was a continued contact from urges because of the association
in Dearborn.
