Dear Miss Turner:
Thanks for your prompt reply to my request for a [copy of my]
reading. $5.00 money order is enclosed in payment.
In regard to a report and answers to the questions you posed,
it seems easier to first enumerate the things "which have
not come to pass." Writing stories for the young, which was
particularly stressed, has not materialized in any shape or
form, nor are there any indications that it ever will. I
realize that serious application along that line might bring
surprising results but no environment or urgings have ever
been present to give the slightest clue in that direction.
About Robert Carey - as yet I have never heard a single word
concerning him from that day to this.
The characteristics such as "the entity tends to discount
itself too much; sudden extremes that arise in the
experiences; ability to think straight; holding of grudges;
belittles self in own mind;" and also the love of nature
pointed out, I feel all these are very accurate evaluations.
I haven't spent any time working with or teaching children
since the reading, nor have I put to a test the ability to
persuade others.
"Thus we will find a great love in the experience of this
entity," has definitely taken place. In this respect I have
the feeling of being "one of the chosen few," for I have
found this rare and perfect kind of love. Through this has
come the opportunity to put into practice the role of "home
builder" which seems to be a natural and inborn talent which
has brought out all latent and natural abilities.
I do remember [
1548] and her sister, [
1523] and was most
interested in hearing of them again as well as the work you
are doing in carrying on Mr. Cayce's work. Both my husband
and I have recently read the book about his life, which
prompted my letter to you.
It was so nice to hear form you and I trust I have been of
some help.
Most Sincerely, [
2791]
P.S. My husband suggested the possibility of an interesting
offshoot from Mr. Cayce's reading. Inasmuch as my husband
and I feel an unusual oneness - is it possible that in
reading me, Mr. Cayce also read my husband. In other words,
is it possible that some unfulfilled portions of my reading
can come true for my husband - and thereby, for me at the
same time? For example, should my husband devote his time to
writing for children, would that not be the same as having my
own reading fulfilled? Just a thought.
P.P.S. - Am enclosing 15 cents for the sheet on ASTHMA.
Thank you.

Dear [
2791]:
A small group of A.R.E. members have started work on the
task of researching all of the Edgar Cayce readings which
mentioned incarnations during the early America period. Your
reading is one of these, and this letter is a request for
your help on this project.
The main object of our research now is to find any
documentary or substantiating evidence of what the Edgar
Cayce readings said. For instance, if a reading said that a
person had been John Brown living in Mainville, New York, at
the time of the Revolutionary War, this project will try to
find some black-and-white evidence (court records, genealogy
books, etc.) that there WAS a man named John Brown who
DID live in Mainville, New York, and it WAS during the
Revolutionary period, or whatever else might prove to be
evidential.
Obviously, the task of tracking down the hundreds of
references involved is a mammoth one and we very much need
any help you can give us. Specifically, have you ever done
any research on your own former incarnation as Ida Wentworth?
Or do you know of anyone else who has? Any information you
can send us along this line may save us hours and hours of
unnecessary work. Even "negative research" (i.e., trying to
find something apparently unsuccessfully) may help us in that
we won't bother looking in that place. Just write us WHERE
you searched - name of town, cemetery, library, court office,
book or whatever - and WHAT you found out.
You may be reassured to know that the Foundation Staff is
going to great lengths to protect your present identity at
all times. Any references to your Edgar Cayce reading will
be handled by the Case Number which has been assigned to you
- [
2791]. All correspondence with you will be held strictly
confidential, and any information you give this research
project via this office will in no way reveal your present
name or address.
Please write to us soon, giving us any information or any
suggestions you may have for carrying on this work.
Thank you, sincerely,
[signed] Gladys Davis Turner, Secretary, E.C.F.

Dear Mrs. Turner:
How I wish I could be of some assistance to the group who are
doing the research you wrote me about. However, I have done
nothing along this line nor do I know of anyone who has.
It was nice hearing from you again and I wish your project
every success.
Most sincerely, Mrs. [
