This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 322 Grafton Avenue, Dayton, Ohio, this 18th day of May, 1925, in accordance with request made by self, through his wife, Dr. [2801].

TEXT

1. GC: You will give the relation of this entity and the Universe, and the Universal Forces, giving the conditions that are as personalities, latent and exhibited, in the present life. Also the former appearances in the earth's plane, giving time, place, and the name, and that in that life which built or retarded the development for the entity, giving the abilities of the present entity and to that which it may attain, and how.
2. EC: Yes, we have the entity here, and those Universal Forces that have to do with this entity in the present earth plane. In the present we find the entity takes its position from that of Jupiter with Neptune and Saturn, with that of Mercury and of the Sun giving strength to the individual. Hence we have many of these conditions latent and exhibited in the present personality.
3. One slow to wrath, yet very determined when once aroused, yet if allowed to cool the clear thinking of the entity will overcome, and then the entity would seek through subtle means to show the error, rather than to harm an individual.
4. One we find who likes the smaller detail in every condition, seeking the why's and wherefore's of the expressions, yet one who having gained a knowledge, or an understanding, gives expression in great extent to the condition as seen or viewed by the individual as being truths, whether followed to its farthest extent or not. Hence lacking in the detail expression in mental forces as may be developed in the body.
5. One we find whose many conditions in thought and action seem contradictory to others, for this is, we find, as the change in the manner of expressing self in the various temperamental conditions of the entity's inner being, yet we find a sympathetic, a high minded, an open minded, a wonderful character of clean nobility in the entity's open-minded-mannered way of existence.
6. IN the actions then of the entity, in seeking the minutia and detail, this we would find would be the manner of the development of self.
7. As to appearances:

We find in the one before this the entity in that of the medicine man to those people then occupying the country near where the entity came into the earth's plane in the present, and in the name then Ocujuchiebu. In that time we find the entity of long sojourn in the earth's plane, and giving much understanding to those of his peoples, who afterward made the sale or the agreement with settlers coming into that part of the country. The entity gave much in the way of records. Some may be found in mounds near Latrobe. In these will be found many beads that, if read aright, will show the records as kept by the entity. In the present we find this gives the urge, as is sometimes said of the entity, a dreamer of the Arcadian type, a dreamer of impossible conditions and positions, yet the love, the desire, to help individuals rather than groups, crowds, or peoples as a whole.
9. In the one before this we find in the days when the peoples came to rebuild the walls of the Holy City. The entity then in that of the ruler who resisted their rebuilding same, and in the name then Ephidox, and the entity then retarded somewhat in the development, for the resistance as was found, to the entity's displeasure, was that the resistance was against Him who leads the right with the high, yet loving, hand. In this urge, we find, with the later days the entity sought to secure the better understanding in that plane. Hence the deep-seated urge to seek into the spiritual understanding of things physical, of things supernatural and of the mysteries of all phenomena not manifested in the ordinary way, and would have made a wonderful snake charmer.
10. In the one before this we find in the days when the second rulers in now Egypt gave the laws to the peoples. The entity then in that of the builder of the foundations of the King's house, and gained much from the associations of many in that plane. While not in the capacity of the mental builder, yet the entity builded mentally, which shows even in the present, the seeking of spiritual understanding of spiritual law (get the difference between the two, see?). In this we find the entity surpassing many, and being and making self satisfied in the condition existent, realizing this is composed of the state of mind rather than physical effects. 11. In the one before this we find when the second coming of the souls into the earth's plane, the entity among those who gave the first of the dwellings for groups, and in the name then called Eos, for the entity then of giant stature and of those who were called the Sons of the Highest, for there come many of the first rules as were sought by these first peoples. 12. In the abilities then of the entity, lies that of a closer understanding of the spiritual forces as may be applied in physical conditions. A closer understanding of the spiritual laws as applied to spiritual conditions. The entity would be able, is able, to lecture, teach or write, and will, when guided correctly, give much to many peoples through these channels.

   We have been lecturing here for past 3 or 4 years - in Philosophy [Rebirth, Transmission and Reincarnation: Ancient Egypt, the Great Mystery; The Bible as Interpreted by the Masters of Wisdom, etc.] - and Dr. [2802] was ordained about four years ago as a Minister. The church he is affiliated with never pays any salary - one must serve freely to help his brother man.
   He would like to take some University work this Fall & Winter again as his lecture work has brought a great demand for him here in ...
   Of course we keep up our practice just the same and believe me, it is very strenuous at times. We have to keep fit. Both my health and [2802]'s is very good thank our dear Lord - because without health one has nothing.
