TEXT

1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for corrective measures, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here; this we have had before.
3. As we find in the present, this is an acute condition from the food causing ptomaine poisoning - which has upset all of the digestive system.
4. First we would give immediately an enema, using just plain water preferably, body temperature - not too hot, not too cold.
5. Then apply Glyco-Thymoline Packs over the whole abdominal area. Keep these on until they are almost entirely dry. They may be put on two or three times a day or be kept on continuously, until the body is free from pain - but the enema will aid a good bit with this. Let the Packs be warm, not hot - and if the body is kept close to heat, not necessary to apply heat to the Packs. Give the enema first.
6. Begin with broken doses of Castoria or with Caldwell's Syrup of Pepsin (Senna or Fig base); half a teaspoonful every hour until good eliminations are set up. The Castoria formula has been changed and is not as complete as the Syrup of Pepsin; hence the suggestion for the Pepsin as a substitute.
7. When the system is cleansed, then give half a teaspoonful of Milk of Bismuth and three to five drops of Elixir of Lactated Pepsin, in water, at one dose, and we should clear the system.
8. Following this there should be given larger doses of the Castoria or the Syrup of Pepsin; and the regular diet - not too much; but such as oatmeal, with the other foods that are normal for body.
9. In the present, give the body only whatever nourishment he will take - he will take very little. Beef juice would be the best.
10. Do that.
11. (Q) What food was it that upset the body, so it may not be repeated?
    (A) A combination of foods, and some of these were not good, see?
12. We are through with this Reading.
