8/43 Wife's letter:
Dear Mr. Casey:
First, I want to tell you that we certainly enjoyed seeing
you and hope you won't wait so long before you come back to
... [
2828] hasn't felt at all well lately. He seems so very
weak and terribly depressed and now he is beginning to look
badly. There are times when his face and eyes will ache for
hours and he loses his balance and just falls right out on
the floor.
O, Mr. Casey, if he could only show just a little
improvement, I would be so very happy and of course he would
too.
As I told you we cannot find the lamp suggested in the
reading and I hope you can arrange to give him a check
reading as soon as possible. He is getting very nervous and
doesn't want to go anywhere or see anybody. Hoping to hear
from you very soon and also hoping that you and "the Charlie
Horse" have parted company, I am very sincerely yours,
Mrs. [...]
8/26/43 EC's letter:
Mrs. [...]
..., Va.
Dear Mrs. [...]
Of course, it would be impossible for me not to feel very
much closer to each of you since meeting you in person. I am
sorry to know that Mr. [
2828] is not feeling so good. The
first possible chance that we have in getting a check reading
for him is the afternoon of September 20 from 3:30 to 4:30.
If he feels that he can wait that long, let us have a list of
questions and I do hope that we may be able to help and offer
some suggestions as a substitute for the Light, but I still
feel that this can be gotten. Has he asked the General
Electric Co., or some of the other electric companies for the
hand light? These are not too expensive and many of these
might be able to rent them at a nominal fee, but let us hear
from you and know that we are very anxious to try and be of a
real service.
Thanking you, I am,
Sincerely, Edgar Cayce
9/15/43 Questions submitted for Ck. Physical:
1. As no specific explanation of cause and history of this
condition in this body has been given in a previous Reading,
would you please give us a knowledge of these that would help
us arrive at an understanding of it?
2. Can this gradual deterioration be checked and
reconstructive forces be set up in the spine itself?
3. What causes extreme night suffering at times in hot
weather? Any specific and immediate measures that could be
applied to alleviate the conditions at such times?
4. In the last reading a Violet Ray (or Mercury Light) was
advised. Give name and address of company where light may be
obtained. Also green glass.
5. What specific regions of the spine should this be used
over?
6. Any corrections in present diet? What foods or elements
would most help the reconstructive forces?
7. Shall I continue Vitamins?
8. Should I continue Calcios? When and how often should this
be taken?
9. Should I continue the Peanut Oil Massages daily as well as
after the light treatment?
10. Please describe further the "head and neck movements", or
exercises for the eyes.
11. The doctors have stated this condition will gradually
grow worse and worse, with increased debility and falling
spells. Is there some hope against this? Please give any
advice at this time for the wife in regard to this.
9/15/43 [
2072]'s letter: "Please put this last answer on a
separate sheet from the Rdg. proper, and send it to me, so
that I may give it to Mrs. [...]."
