10/25/42 Letter from [
630] to EC: "...At the moment Mama
[
2843] is my biggest worry. In my estimation everything is
wrong with her, so she needs a complete physical check-up.
Her other physical has been lost but I remember it ended
with: 'Many questions could have been asked,' but I can't
figure out any questions to ask because all I do ask you
cover in the readings anyhow!!!
"Mama tells me that these reading are $20.00 she thinks, and
can possibly be paid $5.00 a month. We are enclosing $5.00
and will send the rest monthly if this is agreeable.
"How about giving her a complete physical and include the
following if possible: 1. Suggestion for eyes: (She has
cataracts which she feels are better but I don't want them
to go without treatment if that's necessary.) 2. What is the
matter with her throat? (She chokes nearly to death after
trying to swallow anything even as small as a pea or
aspirin.) 3. Suggest treatment for back injuries. (She had
a bad fall last week and is unable to get out of bed almost.)
4. What will cure the severe palpitation attacks? 5. Is the
dizziness and faint spells due to low blood pressure? 6. Are
the falls due to constitutional disturbances? (It looks like
Mother has bad falls about once a week!!!) 7. Are any bones
broken in the ankle or knee? 8. Can the pain in her side be
corrected? (This resulted from an accident 27 years ago in
which evidently ribs were broken. She is bothered if she
uses her right arm or has a cold.)
"You ask any additional questions you think necessary, change
or delete any of these..."
11/01/42 Letter from [
630] to EC: "...Here is another $5.00
on Mother [
2843]'s reading. Thanks for your prompt letter.
Let's hope she hasn't waited too long for the reading. She
is apparently feeling 'very well', but she NEVER complains
so we don't know. She will be ready and waiting between
3 and 4 Tuesday..."
