8/19/43 Mrs. [
2843]'s letter:
From the fine reports, it looks as if I may have to wait
sometime for an appointment. Glad to hear of the interest.
Regret that the suggestions for eyes could not be carried
out. If at his time same suggestions stand, please advise
how they can be carried out, as there is no instrument here
or doctor that will use one. Any work that calls for
distance of over nine inches from eyes, causes a sickish
nervousness.
The old hurts return frequently, but we are happy they are
better. Rather uncomfortable if I'm where I can't lie down
for half an hour when they do come on.
Have palpitations frequently and flatulence most of the time.
The last paragraph of my Readings are always the hardest to
overcome, therefore, I have about reached the conclusion
that much of my errors are due to sensitiveness or to the
emotions. Since the fall I had some months ago, any slight
emotional upset causes so much nervousness and sometimes pain
in back of head, which heretofore, was only felt when there
was great emotional strain.
[Son] had a Chemist friend who can capsulate any kind of
vitimin. He is anxious to help in that line, but we don't
take such things promiscuously so I told him I would ask in
my next reading, provided it was right to do so. It sounds
unnecessary so disregard it. What is necessary for the body
is suggested.
I can seldom get fish and sometimes not enough vegetables.
Is milk good for me? I notice I get very hungry in afternoon
when I don't have a glass of milk at lunch.
When it is the thought necessary, will it be allright to use
any of the suggestions, for instance, the Rochelle salts,
cream tartar, etc when feel the need.
I used the potato poultice on eyes and it seems to me it was
beneficial. I wasn't quite sure about using it without the
Double Eye applicator.
