This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 24th day of November, 1942, in accordance with request made by her grandfather, Mr. [437], Associate Member of the Ass'n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc., through Mr. [257].

Present: Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. Born December 21, 1940, at 4:21 A. M., at the Beth Israel Hospital, 17th St. & Second Ave., New York City.

TEXT

1. GC: You will give the relations of this entity and the universe, and the universal forces; giving the conditions which are as personalities, latent and exhibited in the present life; also the former appearances in the earth plane, giving time, place and the name, and that in each life which built or retarded the development for the entity; giving the abilities of the present entity, that to which it may attain, and how. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the records here of that entity now known as or called [2862].
3. In giving the interpretations of the records here, from these we choose that as we find that may be a helpful experience, not only for the entity but for those who are responsible for the unfoldment of the abilities, and those activities of this entity through the formative years; that the entity may better fulfil those purposes for which it entered this present sojourn.
4. There will be seen very definite characteristics in even the unfolding years of the entity. Thus the direction of the education and the activities of the entity, in those lines in which there may be the fuller awakening, would bring in the experience the greater spiritual unfoldment, the greater mental satisfaction, the greater material gaining for the entity.
5. These as we find will be indicated as the body-mind develops:
6. One that is very diplomatic in its dealings and in its relationships to others.
7. While the entity will desire its own way and manner of its undertakings, and it will be considered rather headstrong, we find that it will be a very serious-minded individual; not desiring conflict, and always acting in a way to keep on good terms with everyone.
8. This may allow for periods when the entity in its associations with others may appear to be imposed upon, but never fear but what the entity will have her own way!
9. One that, in the periods of the greater unfoldment, or periods of choice, will be interested in things and conditions having to do with many peoples.
10. One that will be inclined to worry over little things.
11. One that will be influenced a great deal by conversation of others, especially where differences arise and there are disputations. And the entity will attempt to not take sides so much as to bring an amicable understanding.
12. One that will be interested in those influences that deal with charities of every nature. And thus the entity should have those directions in political science and political economy; not because of its special interest in politics, though it will view all such and have its own opinions respecting same.
13. The entity will have a good voice for speaking, for music, and for all those things that would bring the body before the public. It will be especially gifted in composition, essays, writings, and things of that nature; particularly in respect to things having to do with uplift of the common people.
14. Astrologically, we find that Mercury, Venus and Jupiter are the ruling forces; giving the high mental abilities, and an ability in composition, in writing, and the like, and those things pertaining to love, peace and harmony. These will be a part of the urges and manifestations in the unfolding of this particular life.
15. In its urges we find a universal consciousness. Thus those interests in things especially having to do with such activities.
16. The stage or screen will have a drawing for the entity, but unless the entity is married early in life its career will be rather in such things having to do with the uplift of those in position of lacking things in their experience.
17. These are the urges as we find indicated with this entity.
18. As to the appearances in the earth, - while all are not indicated here, these we find having the greater influence:
19. Before this the entity was an attendant in royal court, and associated with the Queen of England, an admirer of Disraeli and his activities and his political career.
20. Thus the interest in common people, as well as the abilities to hold its own in every form of contact or association.
21. The name then was Margaret D'Maurier. In the experience the entity gained from the spiritual and mental activities.
22. Thus those abilities in the present as the speaker, as the writer, even as the actress, will be indicated.
23. Before that the entity was in the Roman land, but under the Roman rule rather than in the Roman land. For the entity in its activities was in what is now known as Macedonia. This was the place of sojourn, though the entity was a Roman by its birthright.
24. The entity will have an interest in those peoples through those varied climes, and under the varied rules or activities of the political and economic natures; so that the entity will have a special interest in things pertaining to that nature of the uplift of man.
25. And in this particular period when many changes are being wrought, the entity - if given the opportunity in the training - will be in that position of being a power felt, even as then, - as Lydica.
26. Before that the entity was in the Persian and Arabian land, during those periods when there was the building up of the "city in the hills and the plains."
27. The entity then was among the children of that leader [GD's notes: Edssi, now [437] present grandfather; [1528] present father 2nd in command of nomad groups; [1315] present grandmother, came from Greece to study art.), who aided in bringing to the nomad peoples the better interpreting of the spiritual leader (Uhjltd, now Edgar Cayce) in that period of activity.
28. Then the entity was given to service in the hospital, or to the care of the indigent, the maimed, those afflicted in body or mind. The entity then, as termed today, was a nurse; yet then such individuals were as companions to the afflicted ones in a way that went much beyond mere nursing.
29. This brings into the present experience the seriousness, yet the determination to interpret problems in its own way.
30. Thence the necessity of spiritual unfoldment and education also as to the ideals that may be formed by the entity in this period of activity.
31. The name then was Avalta.
32. Before that the entity was in the Egyptian land. There the entity was among those who were the emissaries prepared through purification in the Temple Beautiful [GD's notes: in which [849], present uncle, was the musician who led in purification ceremonies; [437] was interpreter to various groups; [1315] was a teacher in schools of art; [1101] perhaps in land to which [2862] went as emissary; [1528] famous architect or artist.); and as one that went to other lands in those activities that made for the bettering of others.
33. There we find the entity was in those activities directing the development of the young in other lands.
34. Travel becomes a part of the entity's experience; unusual places; a special interest in the mystic and in omens and signs. And these, if kept in that way of correct spiritual guidance, may be an unfoldment in the experience of the entity in its dealings with others.
35. The name then was Al-Ves-Etta.
36. As to the abilities of the entity in the present, then:
37. This will depend upon the training, as to the choice the entity will make in the present experience. The abilities are there. Give the entity the opportunity, then, in its training. And we will find it will become an influence and a power for good in the lives of many.

39. (Q) How can the parents [1101] and [1528]] best guide this entity now and for the best development in the future?
    (A) First in the spiritual aspects of its relationship to Creative Forces. Then in the directing of channels in those fields in which, as indicated, the entity may excel.
40. (Q) What special type of education should be considered?
    (A) Voice, and political and economic science.
41. (Q) Any special warnings to protect the health of the child?
    (A) Don't let the child worry. Not that these will become as an effect upon the health, until much later in the experience.
42. (Q) What causes the occasional rash? Is this a hereditary condition?
    (A) We haven't the physical being.
