Give the rubs when the body is ready to retire of evening.
Best to sponge off the spine first with warm water, - as warm
as the body can well stand, - before the oil is applied, as
well as across the abdomen; that is, the area just around the
edge of the ribs and across the body, see, where the rub is
to be applied. Do not just hurry through with the rub, but
know that you are adding something to the building and
resistance forces of the body. So do same prayerfully,
meditatively, expectantly, and you will not be disappointed.
We are through for the present.

BACKGROUND
12/19/42 Mother submitted questions:
1. Does she need the thyroid medicine she is now taking; and
if so are the doses right?
2. Why does she tire so easily?
3. Why so nervous?
4. Are the throat and nose noises she makes due to nerves or
are the sinuses involved?
5. Why does she have such a poor appetite and what can be
done about it?
REPORTS
1/07/43 Mother's letter: "I began my daughter's treatments
about 5 days after the operation [for appendicitis] and I
feel and know she is improving. I am sure that she is going
to be well now. It would have been wonderful if I had known
about the readings 7 years ago for in all those years I have
had either the boy or girl in bed and until the latter part
of last winter, both of them..."
1/13/43 Mother's letter: "...My daughter is improving right
along. In the past week for the first time in months we have
had 'tearless' meals. I had about reached the place where I
would put her to bed before feeding her. Bed was the only
place she ate a good meal. I do hope some day to manage a
Life Reading for her or should it be for me to find out how
to manage her?..."
1/23/43 Mother's letter: "...I have received the peanut oil
from Suffolk. In the meantime I've used the oil from three
jars of Peanut butter."
8/10/43 Mother's letter: "I'm coming to you for help again.
Would it be possible to get a check reading for my daughter?
She had been in bed since school closed June 1st and I so
hoped to have her up and able to go back when school starts
September 1st. I am fully convinced you are the only one who
can tell us what the trouble is. Just in case you could slip
her in real soon - sooner than I could receive a letter...
I am putting the necessary data on the back..."
8/25/43 Mother's letter: "I am so anxious for a check
reading for my daughter... She has been dragged around to
hospitals and doctors all summer to no avail and I do so want
her to be able to start school if even a month late...will
add two more questions at the end of this letter, as the
doctors say they don't know what the trouble is and as you
helped her so much before, I am sure you will be able to help
her again. She is so impatient and wants to go out and play
with other children. I think the fact that she lost her
whole summer vacation hurts her more than anything. (1) What
can I do about the intestinal gas condition? (2) Will
menstruation clear up any of the present symptoms?
8/31/43 Mother's letter: "...I should have written for her
check months ago, but I have kept telling myself 'she will be
O.K.' next week and so put it off. Right now I am getting
her up some and hope to get her in school for a few hours a
day the second week of school. It doesn't sound right to do
it as she still runs a temperature but she was getting to the
place where we would never have gotten her out of bed..."
