Dear Mr. Cayce,
I have been intending to write to you about the reading,
several days ago indeed, but the last few days I have been
in the country cleaning up the house out there, and left
answering your kind letter until I returned.
I think the reading is most revealing Mr. Cayce, and tells
me more and more about the things that help me in growth and
understanding. It is really wonderful how one can read and
re-read and learn things about oneself, especially the faults
which are most in need of correction. In this connection,
there is one item in the reading which came last, that is
really something that I recognize must be changed before I
can go much further. Always I have known that it was part
of my nature, and that it kept me from doing in a much better
way what I attempted, but when I see it written down, and
find myself faced with it, and realize that it is just
that, and that alone which withholds what could be complete
success, it is at once half way to being conquered. I speak
of my own intenseness in approaching things.
I really wear myself out with my own intensity, almost over
eagerness you know. This then, has helped me very much
indeed, and if just that one element has been pointed out
with such clarity, the reading has served a splendid purpose
for me. Not to mention the information concerning that
particular experience.
Yes! I too wish that I could be present at a reading.
Sometime, perhaps when Judy [Julia Chandler] is going down
to Virginia Beach, I may find myself able to come along with
her. Who knows?
With kindest regards,
Very sincerely yours [

To Mary La Croix - [Author of THE REMNANT]
Recently a friend gave me a copy of your book, which really
touched me very deeply, because I knew Edgar Cayce very well,
I had Life Readings [See
2880-1 and 2880-2] from him - and
worked in the Assoc.
What interested me in particular was the reference (in the
3rd Chapter) to "Zermada." I am that person!
If your "Judith" [
1472] can (is) identified with Judy
Chandler (which I do-) she and I worked together both
in New York, where we lived, and at Virginia Beach.
If you ask Gladys Davis Turner who was Edgar Cayce's Sect.
she will remember me.
Thank you for "Remnant." It is a lovely book.

I would also like to have of copy a Edgar Cayce's
interpretations of "The Dead Sea Scrolls" - but do not find
it in the catalogue. If you will send one I will mail my
check at once.
