11/23/31 EC's letter to mother, Mrs. [
5423]:
My dear Mrs. [
5423]
While I didn't have an opportunity to talk in person with
you, as I had hoped to the last time I spoke to you over the
phone, please know how much we appreciate you and your
prayers and efforts in our behalf through the unpleasant
experience which came to us there. We just hope and trust
that your faith and confidence in us will ever remain as it
must have been during those few days we were there under this
awful strain. We have only our efforts and our prayers to
offer in appreciation for all that you have done, but know
that we are ready and willing to do whatever we can at any
time.
I am having the Gold prepared for you, and it will go out
today. I just hope the little girl is still on the improve,
and that the worry and anxiety I feel you must have
experienced in our behalf has not upset you too much.
Please give our love to Mrs. Glickstein and the rest of those
whom you know wish us well. Tell Mrs. Glickstein we are
looking for you two to come down very soon. We can make
arrangements now for you to come at any time, and I feel that
the change would be good for both of you.
Let us hear from you. With love from all to you and yours,
I am
Sincerely,
EC:GD
P.S. We are enclosing express receipt for the Gold, which
was sent this afternoon.
