TEXT

1. EC: Yes, we have the records here of that entity now known as or called [2925].
2. In giving an interpretation of the records as we find them here, not all that are apparent may be indicated; for much respecting the destiny of individuals depends upon choices taken by the entity.
3. But these we choose with the desire and purpose that this information may be a helpful experience for the entity; enabling it to better fulfil those purposes for which it entered this present sojourn.
4. We would, then, minimize faults and magnify virtues; as should be the purposes and hopes and the applications of the entity in its dealings with its fellow man.
5. Things and circumstances are the ruling forces in the entity's experience; conditions that have to do with the outside, in the open.
6. Never, then - save as for training, bind self to activities in an office, or inside. For these would be almost as caging this body, and its abilities.
7. We find urges arising from the latent experiences or interims of sojourn between earthly manifestations, in that we express in terms of astrology. Yet these are of little influence, save that they represent the latent urges in the entity, by or because of the application of self in those directions.
8. Thus we find Venus, Neptune, Mars and Jupiter; a very unusual combination.
9. Hence, while it is not first and foremost, we will find that the love life of the entity is very intense, though a thing apart from its general activities.
10. Things or conditions having to do with water are a part of the entity's urge, and experience. Hence any of those things that float, - as boats, or planes, or things that have to do with such, - are of particular interest.
11. Also from Venus and Neptune we find that things of the chemical natures would also have their latent urge in the entity's experience.
12. Considering the circumstance of the present, then:
13. Either the special training, by the government, for commercial or map making photography would be well; or things having to do with boats, or coast guard activities. These would be in keeping with the latent urges. But we will see some conflicting influences in the material sojourns of the entity.
14. These, then, come to this: These choices must be made by the entity. But do remain in activities out of doors.
15. Don't overeat and grow too fat.
16. DO indulge more in citrus fruits, and keep the weight near to normal; else these conditions may become detrimental to the physical being of the entity.
17. Then the purposes, the aims, the spiritual life, - this should be considered first and foremost. Know thine own ideal, spiritually, mentally, materially. Thou knowest in Whom thou hast believed. Then in thy mental life and in thy material life, make practical application of the tenets and the truths of same, in the choices of thy daily activities; knowing that He, the keeper of the way, is in accord with all that is. For, without Him there was not anything made that was made.
18. Be a co-operator, then, with Him. And do what thou doest to the glory of God, in Christ Jesus; and not to the glory of self.
19. Serve ever, then, in GLORY to the Father; and it will be in honor to self.
20. As to the appearances in the earth, - these we find quite varied, that have to do with the activities and latent urges in the present. And some of the associates find some of the names even here, as pet names for the entity.
21. Before this, as Peter Paul de Guerrire [?] (French, in rule), the activities of the entity - with some of its acquaintance - had to do with the first attempts to translate those outlines or pictures, - as of twigs, leaves, - by some chemical forces.
22. These became of interest to the entity.
23. In the present such may be either a hobby or a source of interest, if there is the application of self by or through the efforts as may be obtained in the present national emergencies.
24. Also boats had to do with the entity's experience. For, those things having to do with the make or type of crafts are of special interest, - types of crafts, - indicated from that sojourn.
25. Before that the entity was in the Grecian land, when there were those applications of the crafts, having partly to do with statuary, - especially having to do with the depicting of nature. Hence the statue of lambs, lions, geese, birds, the odd activities of same, were a part of the entity's activity.
26. Through the experience the entity was a student of nature, and thus a piper also. And some abilities may be indicated by the entity in reed instruments of music in the present.
27. The name then was Rhuelm. The entity gained in its mental and spiritual, and much of those things indicated in the experience may be applied in the present activities; especially if whatever activity is chosen has to do with the outdoors. Whatever choice is made, let the activity have to do with being in the open, and having to do with the elements, - air, water, earth. But little of fire, for this is a part of those experiences as indicated in Mars that might become detrimental forces.
28. Before that we find the entity was in the Persian land, during those periods when there were the changes wrought, during those periods following the death or the judgment of the king of that land, that had brought most of the peoples of the western and southern lands under subjugation, - during the carrying away of the peoples of Palestine, or the Holy Land.
29. In those periods when decrees were issued for the return, the entity - though not of the Hebrew people - chose to be one of those (as an adventurer, in heart) put under the order of Cyrus to go into the land when there was the return.
30. The entity forsook those activities in Jerusalem and went to the coasts. And those activities that had been a part of the peoples in Tyre became the activities of the entity; to reestablish those conditions that had been, the journeys of the ships of Solomon to other lands.
31. Thus we find in the present entity the urge for adventure, for the unusual experiences, for the mystical, for the seeking of hidden treasure, for the seeking of the unusual things in and under the sea, and of such natures.
32. Then the name was Phylon.
33. These become a part of latent urges. If they are governed by and directed from the spiritual purposes, they may become a part of the present experience of the entity.
34. Before this, having to do with the present influence, the entity was in the land now called Egypt; during those periods when there were the expansions from the tenets of the Priest, with the setting about of those activities in which individuals were purified, or dedicated, or prepared themselves for special service.
35. The entity then was among those to be messengers, or ambassadors of good will to other lands; and thus had those special trainings for the vocational activities from the Temple Beautiful - or the school of the period.
36. In those experiences, then, may the entity in the present find an outlet for self.
37. The name then was Elk-Ardn.
38. As to the abilities of the entity in the present, then:
39. In those fields of activities indicated, - first find thy spiritual and thy mental life. Plan same. And let thy physical application be an outgrowth of same.
40. This may be either in service of the land, as a map maker (photographically), or in the ships or boats or crafts that have to do with SHORE activities.
41. Ready for questions.
42. (Q) Which of these two would you advise me to do?
    (A) These choices must be made by self. As indicated from the application of self, through the offices of education in certain fields, - as the photographic, - would make an outlet.
Through self's application, disregarding the national efforts or the educational field, a success may be made in the crafts or boats or the like. But one is in one direction, the other almost the opposite. A choice must be made by self.
43. (Q) Why am I in the habit of becoming dissatisfied with my work and myself? How may I overcome this?
    (A) When there is the analysis of those urges indicated, it may be seen that this is the result of conflicting emotions. For, as indicated, ye deal with earth, air, water - and these are not always compatible. These must be choices from spiritual purposes.
44. (Q) Where have I existed other than on this earth?
    (A) As indicated, in the various spheres of activity. In France, in Greece, in Persia, in the Holy Land, the Mediterranean, portions of the Egyptian land and then in India.
45. (Q) When did I first exist as a separate entity?
    (A) Would this add to thy knowledge? The first existence, of course, was in the MIND of the Creator, as all souls became a part of the creation. As to time, this would be in the beginning. When was the beginning? First consciousness! There is no time, there is no space. Hence the injunction, first know thy spiritual purposes. Ye know thy ideal. Now correlate same with thy application of thyself in the material associations, and ye will find in same peace and harmony, as well as the ability to carry on.
46. (Q) How, when and where have I been formerly associated with my present wife, [...]; what are the urges from same in the present, and how may we best use them for our mutual development?
    (A) In the Persian land as companions, and as a protector one to the other. Also in Egypt, in preparations for those activities for the educational forces and the ministry to others.
Then, as ye minister one to another, - be ever as the helpmeet, never stumblingstones. Magnify the virtues one in the other, minimize the faults. And thus may ye grow stronger in the nurture and in the admonition of the truths that may unfold through thy combined efforts, in glory to the Father, in honor to selves.
47. We are through for the present.

BACKGROUND

1. [2925]'s letters, 2/17/43 & 2/22/43: "Having recently read the book on your life, TIR, and also having been impressed by the statements of my brother, [2805], I should like to avail myself of one of your 'Life' rdgs...
In this rdg. I am particular interested in learning the occupation for which I am best suited. My last employment, which was at the Washington Navy Yard as a photographer was the result of a hobby and similarly my present job at the Annapolis Yacht Yard, Inc., has come from my interest in boats. However, there is a great difference between doing things because one wants to and doing the same things because one must. I have thought of the possibility of opening up a small boat yard on Chesapeake Bay but I do not know if I would be satisfied with it in spite of the fact that it looks like a pleasant existence.
I seem to be in the habit of becoming dissatisfied with my work and myself, which indicates to me that I have not found the right place for myself in life."
