This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 10th day of March, 1943, in accordance with request made by the self - [2932], new Associate Member of the Ass'n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc., recommended by Miss [2923] and parents of [2017].

TEXT

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes - we have had this address before [for Miss [2923]].
3. Yes, we have the body here, [2932].
4. Now as we find, there are disturbing conditions which prevent the better physical conditions. Some of these, we find, arose primarily from accidents - or bad judgements, in the manner in which connections were made, and the manner in which healings took place at the period of the operative measures that were deemed necessary.
5. These allow specific conditions to exist, where tissue is involved in the area of the gall duct and liver activity. Because of the manner in which the healing has taken place, the scar tissue has allowed such a thinning that coagulation takes place outside of areas intended.
6. With overactivity of the body these accumulations break up - and become drainages through the system.
7. These cause at such times a great deal of distress, pain, anxiety, as well as a depression upon the general activity of elimination and the activity of liver and general circulation.
8. Very seldom is there temperature, though the variation in heart's activity - and the distress as produced upon kidneys - shows the very nature in which these become involved.
9. And with these strains upon this deeper circulation, the organs thus disturbed show a NERVE strain upon same.
10. As we find, these may be materially aided if there will be carefully, cautiously applied these elements and in these manners to the body:
11. First we would begin taking almost daily a little Glyco-Thymoline, five drops in a glass of water each day - or set a period when this is to be taken. To be sure, if a time or two is skipped during the week it will be alright, but do take almost daily.
12. And apply to the body the low Wet Cell Appliance carrying Camphor as a healing property to the body. The nickel plate, through which the Spirits of Camphor (commercial strength) passes vibratorially, should be much larger in diameter than ordinarily; being at least two and one-half to three inches (2 1/2 to 3") across, the disc through which the vibration of the Camphor solution would go to the body. Use at least four ounces of the Camphor, and change it every fifteen days. Apply each day for twenty to thirty minutes, twenty minutes in the beginning and gradually increase to thirty minutes. The small copper plate would be attached at the 9th dorsal, the upper portion of this segment. The large nickel plate would be attached over the gall duct area.
13. Both attachment plates are to be kept very clean, polished before and after using, and are to be disconnected from the Appliance when not in use. Take the connection that goes into the solution OUT of the solution when not in use.
14. Make the strength of the Appliance as follows:

    Copper Sulphate...............2 pounds,
Sulfuric Acid C.P.........1 1/2 ounces,
Zinc..........................6 drams,
Willow Charcoal...............1 pound.

15. Renew this charging solution every thirty days.
16. Massage the body at least twice a week very gently; this especially along the spinal area.
17. Keep regular activities; no straining, though, no lifting of heavy weights, no pushing of things against body.
18. And we should dissipate these disturbances.
19. While there may be some discharge, this should not be excessive nor cause too great an anxiety.
20. Keep eliminations, but for this body these may be kept best with the diet AND from vegetable compounds, - not from the use of bulky foods or those that would be irritating to alimentary canal.
21. Use the colonics occasionally.
22. Ready for questions.
23. (Q) When these attacks are coming on, I have a great deal of pain in neck and spine. How is this connected with the attacks?
    (A) As indicated, this is in the circulation and is the impulse for discharging or eliminating this accumulation under the areas where there has been bad coagulation - as we have outlined.
24. (Q) Also I suffer nausea and heartburn for some time before, and at times after the attacks.
    (A) All of these effects come from this same disturbance, you see. Hence these conditions as we have given, this purifying of the body with this antiseptic (the Glyco-Thymoline) should aid in keeping down these disturbances, as well as aiding in the effectual activity of the Camphor vibration to the body.
25. (Q) Have had osteopathic treatments. Is this too harsh or is it beneficial?
    (A) Massage is better here than osteopathic treatments. If these are given very GENTLY along the spine, and not attempting to make corrections, these would be beneficial.
26. (Q) Colonic irrigations?
    (A) Colonic irrigations are necessary in these conditions, but don't have them too often, of course.
27. (Q) Is it necessary to puree all vegetables? (Have been advised to eat nothing raw, harsh and foods which contain much residue.)
    (A) This is correct, as just outlined. Not necessary to puree ALL foods, but do not take those that are coarse, or that have too great a residue - or those we call roughage foods.
28. (Q) Is my heart alright?
    (A) As indicated. This is involved because of the condition that involves this circulation, - heart, liver, lungs and kidneys. And all of these suffer during those periods of the attempt to evacuate these accumulations. That being attempted through these applications suggested is to cause coagulation in such manners as to heal without this drainage of blood, or leakage through the thin walls here in area indicated.
29. (Q) I sometimes worry I have a cancer. Would you reassure me or tell me the truth?
    (A) This is not cancer, as we find. It is as we have described. It is not, then, of the nature of cancer.

1. 2/22/43 "Have just recovered from an intestinal attack, which is the result of operative interference...would love to know how to avoid them in the future...have had several of late."
2. 2/28/43 "I suffer from periodic intestinal attacks which either put me to bed at home or send me to hospital for care. Once I get into trouble, it takes weeks and at times months before I am on my feet again. I am at present recovering from an attack which started shortly after Christmas.
   "About 20 years ago I had several operations and recovered very well, had many years of usefulness since. Except for those intestinal attacks, which doctors call 'partial obstruction,' I seem to be in good shape."
