TEXT

GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:
EC: Yes, we have the body here, [2958].
As we find, there are many conditions that are very good - and little that disturbs the body in the main. But there are tendencies existent, which if corrected in the present, and a balance created in portions of the glandular force, may save a great deal of distress and disturbance later.
These are conditions as we find them with this body, [2958] we are speaking of, ..., Ohio:
In the blood supply we find indications of a chemical unbalance, by the lack of certain stimuli needed in the areas of the glandular force; as in a part of the thyroid and a part of the glandular force in the assimilating system - in liver.
These are the tendencies that are produced by same:
In the glandular system as related to portions of activity in the thyroid, with an irritation in portions of the mammary glands, - we have the activity in the nails, on limbs and on hands, and a condition in throat. This, combined with the disturbance in the liver and in the eliminations at times, causes some irritation to kidneys and bladder, and the activity of the bladder to produce a burning sensation in the areas of the body in elimination.
These cause those weaknesses felt at times, and tiredness, as of an outward "all over" feeling; achings in wrists, elbows, knees, hands; at times, not always - and this when there are the activities of the body that are overtaxing, or when there is too great an activity for the vital forces of the body.
These as we find are the conditions which exist with the body, [2958].
In making helpful administrations, - we would have a series of systematic activities in the hydrotherapy treatments. These would include a mild sweat, then a thorough rubdown with an equal combination of Peanut Oil and Olive Oil; especially along the spine and across the areas in the 9th dorsal, extending all across the diaphragm area, and then the sacral and lower lumbar areas.
We would have these at least once a week, or twice a week until three or four have been taken, and then once a week until eight or ten have been taken; or four in the first series and at least six in the next series, see?
About three times each week we would apply locally, by self, a Glyco-Thymoline pack over the area of the lower left portion - or the lower portion of the left breast, where there are those tendencies for accumulations in the mammary glands.
This is to dissipate the condition, and the hydrotherapy treatments are to eliminate the distribution of that dissipated through the system.
Use three to four thicknesses of gauze well saturated with the Glyco-Thymoline, see, and apply warm; not hot, but warm, and allow to remain on about twenty minutes. Then saturate the gauze again, and repeat every twenty minutes, for about an hour. This do about three times each week.
When four of the hydrotherapy treatments have been taken, we would begin (not before) taking each morning before breakfast a level teaspoonful of Eno Salts in a full glass of water. Keep this up for five mornings, then leave off five mornings, and then take again for five mornings; then leave off five, and take again - until at least three full courses are completed.
In the matter of the diet, - do increase the quantities of the whole grain cereals and reinforced bread. Do increase the quantity of carrots and celery; these preferably taken raw, either in salads or by themselves. These will add to the body-forces needed to stimulate those gland activities that will be purified by the setting up of better drainages through alimentary canal, as well as from the stimulating of coordination between the respiratory, perspiratory and alimentary canal eliminations.
Thus we will save a great deal of distress later.
Ready for questions.
Do this, - and keep the mental attitude creative. Know, - not only be good, but good for something. Aid others who have their own problems; not as a meddler but rather as one contributing to creative forces as manifested in the love of the Master.
We are through for the present.

(Please let us have name and address of the physiotherapist you choose for giving the sweat baths and massages. We don't know of one in ... who is familiar with our work, but there should be plenty of such places there where you can get this part of the treatment followed exactly as specified. The rest you can do yourself.)

BACKGROUND

11/09/42 She requested and subsequently received an emergency reading (too late) for her aunt, Mrs. [2847].
3/19/43 [2958]'s letter:
Dear Mr. Cayce:
Sunday, April 4, from 11 AM to 12 Noon, will be convenient for me. I will be in my bedroom on the second floor at ...
There is a condition in my left breast that I wish you would advise me about, - just what it is and if it requires any treatment. If so, what kind of treatment.
I am interested in a complete physical reading to know if there is any part of my body not functioning properly and if so, how I should go about correcting the condition.
I am enclosing a clipping from the March 10, 1943, issue of the Cincinnati Times-Star, about your book. I hope to get your book in the near future. My time has been much occupied with work lately and I haven't had an opportunity to do the reading I formerly did; however, I am looking forward to your book.
Sincerely,

REPORTS

4/15/43 [2958]'s letter:
Dear Mr. Cayce:
I received the Reading and thank you very much. It sounds encouraging and has lifted a load from my mind.
I have started the treatment you suggest and will give you the name of the physiotherapist after I have had a few treatments. She was recommended to me and uses the Swedish massage system.
My check for $10 is enclosed.
Sincerely yours, [2958]
