12/29/43 Father's letter to EC: "We have just received the
wet cell appliance and are preparing to use it in accordance
with the last rdg. for [
2983]. According to the rdg.,
the appliance was to be used with gold solution and was
to be used every other night for a period of thirty minutes
followed by a thorough massage with the combination of
peanut, olive and lanolin oil. Up to this time we have
been giving [
2983] a warm bath every night followed by a
massage of peanut and olive oil in accordance with the first
rdg. We are very anxious to know should we continue doing
this on the nights we do not use the wet cell appliance.
Mrs. [...] wrote you after receiving the last reading which
letter was recently acknowledged; however, the questions she
asked were not answered.
"I know you realize how vital this is to us and while I know
you are extremely busy it would be very much appreciated if
you will let us know how soon you can give us another rdg. so
that we will know whether or not the osteopathic treatments
are now being administered properly.
"Please extend to Mrs. Cayce and your secretary whom we had
the pleasure of meeting when we were there our kindest
regards and with best wishes for your health and happiness
during the coming year and the continuation of the wonderful
work you are doing, I am," [...]
1/01/43 Letter from EC to father: "...I do hope you are going
to find that the use of the appliance and the massage is
going to show real results. Be sure the connections to the
appliance are firm, but not so tight as to stop circulation.
As they are attached to the body, I think a little adhesive
tape is a good way. I would keep the rules every day. I
certainly can appreciate how anxious you both are about it,
and trust that you will indeed soon see real results. Do
let us hear from you from time to time, and know if we can
be of any help, that is our aim and purpose.
"Don't hesitate to write and ask about anything that comes
up. I believe Mrs. [...] can give the massages as well or
better than anyone else. It may be very well if you can
get a good masseur to show Mrs. [...] once or twice just
what is the best way to give those."
1/04/44 Father's letter: "...I appreciate more than I can
say your prompt reply.
"In my letter to you of Dec. 29th, I requested that you
advise me whether to continue massaging [
2983] on the
alternate nights that we do not use the wet cell appliance
or should we just massage him every other night after using
the appliance only.
"I also requested that you let us know how soon you could
give us another reading so that we will know whether or
not the osteopathic treatments are now being administered
properly and would appreciate very much your advising me
definitely on these two points."
1/08/44 EC's letter to father: "Yes, I am sure it would be
advisable to continue the massage on the nights that you do
not use the appliance. We will try to work in another rdg.
for you on the morning of Jan. 19, from 10:30 to 11:30, EWT.
"I would have your osteopath to include a question or two to
have asked at the time of the rdg., then you and Mrs. [...]
enclose the questions that you would like to have asked."
1/17/44 Letter from mother to EC: "...The osteopath (Dr.
Kline) requests that we ask the following questions for her.
1. Are the osteopathic adjustments now being correctly made?
If not, please give further specific instructions.
The following are the questions we would like to ask":
1. Has sufficient progress been made so far to indicate that
this body will be normal by the time puberty is reached as
stated in the first rdg.?
2. Is the wet cell appliance being administered properly?
3. There seems to be no improvement in [
2983] getting up off
the floor or in getting up steps. When might some
improvement be expected?
4. Can any suggestions be made to [
2983]'s parents (Mother
& Father) for their guidance in helping to improve his
condition? Many, many thanks for your help.
