3/30/43 Letter: "A Life Reading was recommended by Mrs.
[
2441] and I hope I can see wherein I can improve myself to
be some good to humanity. To be able to fit in somewhere
with some assurance. Just now my Supervisor leaves me with
the understanding that I don't fit in anywhere. In fact,
those are her very words, 'You don't fit in anywhere.'
Surely you understand that under those circumstances I wish
to go and work with people who are more harmonious.
"This, then, is my principal concern, my work; anything else
then that you can tell me about myself and the relationship
to other lives will be greatly appreciated."
Questions submitted:
(Life Reading)
1. What should I do with my life in the next six months?
2. Should I leave my present job for a more pleasant one?
(While I am well paid for work that I do, I feel an
oppression which is not good for morale or advancement. Any
effort I put forth is thwarted. I recognize that this must
be karma, and I have endured for two years what I thought
would end one day, but I see no possibility of it ending.
Even if I resign my job, the possibility is that my immediate
Supervisor would deliberately weave untruths about me. For I
have seen and heard injustice not only to myself but to
others under her jurisdiction. This is not a figment of my
imagination, it is the opinion of many.)
3. Can I hope to combat circumstances connected with my
present work?
4. Have I yet paid my debt to humanity? Is there any release
from all this?
