We are through with this Reading.
Two copies to Self (one for the Physiotherapist, if you are
able to find one near you who can give
the entire treatment as outlined once
each week)
Copy to Ass'n file
(5/18/43 GD's notes: Dr. H. J. Reilly, The Reilly Service,
R.C.A. Bldg., 1250 Sixth Ave., New York City, might be
able to suggest a Physiotherapist in your vicinity, and -
if so - would be glad to write him advising that he make
the necessary changes in his treatments to conform to the
suggestions given in your Reading.
On the other hand, if you prefer to take the Fume Baths and
massages at home, there is a Fume Bath Cabinet, also a "Fume
Gown", that is sold by Montgomery, Ward & Co., also by Sears,
Roebuck & Co.
If having trouble locating the green plate glass, this may
be ordered from The American Plate and Window Glass Co.,
Springdale Ave., East Orange, N.J., for $2.50 per square
foot.
Head and neck exercises: Of morning upon arising, and at
night before retiring, stand or sit erect; bend the head
forward three times, back three times, to the right side
three times, to the left side three times, then circle to
the right three times, to the left three times.
Atomidine, to be used in the Fume Bath, if not obtainable
from local druggist, may be ordered from The Atomidine Co.,
9 South 8th Ave., Mt. Vernon, N.Y. - $1 a bottle.
Jerusalem artichoke, if not on the market, may be ordered
from The John A. Salzer Seed Co., LaCrosse, Wisconsin, for
a few cents a pound - as potatoes. These have to be kept
in the ground, otherwise they dry up or wither very quickly.
Cook as you would a potato, but in Patapar Paper so as to
preserve and eat the juice with it. Patapar Paper - in case
you are not familiar with it - should be secured from the
Food Dept. of most any Dept. Store, or ordered direct from
Paterson Parchment Paper Co., Bristol, Penna. - sells for 25
cents a package of a dozen sheets.)
REPORTS
Remarks immediately after hearing reading [3008-1]: "So
perfectly logical - all the descriptions so true and
logical."
5/20/43 GD's letter to [
3008]:
I just received your card today, so I hope you get this
before you leave Philadelphia.
The man who is (or was) president of the Physiotherapists of
America, and who has been familiar with the Readings for a
number of years - who is also now using the green light, is:
Dr. H. J. Reilly, R.C.A. Bldg., 1250 Sixth Ave., New York
City.
I hope you get a chance to go into his office and see him.
It would give you an idea of the type of place you are to
seek in your vicinity - in case he does not have one to
recommend that is a member of his association, I mean.
When you were here I did not know you were going to be
in Phila., or I would have given you Dr. Dick's address,
an osteopath there who uses Physical Therapy - the water
treatments, fumes, etc., - along with osteopathy. She is
treating several people now that we have sent to her. You
remember the Check Rdg. we had with yours the other morning
was one of those patients, for whom the green glass was
suggested. Dr. Dick probably does not use this glass now
but will start doing so on this case. If convenient while
there, you might like to see her place and talk with her: Dr.
Marion A. Dick, 5041 Spruce St., Phila. - Phone Granite 6561.
(By the way, Dr. Dick's husband, Dr. J. Francis Smith, is a
blind osteopath who has become an outstanding pioneer in the
osteopathic treatment of mental and nervous disorders.)
I do hope you get everything lined up so you can get
the proper treatments, whether in your home or at a
Physiotherapist's. If you find a good Physiotherapy place
in Chicago, we'd appreciate having the name and address for
future references.
Kindest regards from all here. It was wonderful meeting you
and the others - a real treat for all of us.
6/27/43 Friend [mother of [
3258]]'s letter: "Mrs. [
3008]
spoke of the beautiful unity between you and your wife and
your secretary, as being most unusual. I love your wife,
Gertrude. I need never see her to know that I love her, for
my soul has reached out to her every step of the way. She
has been a brave soul, and truly was chosen to be your
help-meet."
7/07/43 EC's answer to the above: "Am glad our friends that
were here spoke so kindly of us, but what we are speaks out,
whether we know it or not...
"Yes - am sure the luckiest day of my life was when my good
wife Gertrude said she would be my wife. No, it hasn't been
easy for her, and outside my mother, she is the loveliest
person it has been my privilege to know. And the Sec'ty [GD]
is just as a daughter who has caught a vision of what is is
all about, and has wished to help."
7/21/43 Miss [
3298]'s letter: "Mrs. [
3008] says to tell
you that she feels she has been benefited very much by the
treatments prescribed for her, and especially by the oil
- that she is feeling better than she has felt for a long
time."
10/10/43 Miss [
3298]'s letter: "We are so enthusiastic about
the Peanut, Olive and Pine Needle Oil that you recommended
for Mrs. [
3008]. The other day while canning, Mother [
3412],
spilled scalding tomato juice all over her left hand. It
burned very red, began to swell and she thought she would
have a bad hand that would need to be bandaged. However,
after applying the oil it returned to normal - almost
miraculously - with only a slight tenderness in a few spots."
[See 3008-1, Par. 17--19 for prescription.]
11/05/43 Mrs. [
3008]'s friend, Mrs. [
3954], obtained a Life
Reading.
5/19/48 Report from E.C.F. Campaign worker's letter to
Mrs. [3008]:
"According to our telephone conversation early in May I am
mailing the enclosed blank the third week in May.
"The Association at Virginia Beach and the study groups here
in Chicago will appreciate it very much if you will fill out
the enclosed blank and mail it in the addressed envelope.
"Please be frank in your statements, as they urge frankness
rather than compliments. They wish an accurate, scientific
study that can be USED as a basis for constructive use.
Individual reports will help them greatly. Thank you. -"

Dr. David Musselman - osteopath formerly of 58 E. Washington
St., Chicago now in Miami, Florida, but Dr. M. (who was
much in sympathy with Mr. Cayce - and much interested
in his readings) said that my reading was more vague and
unsatisfactory than any of the others with which he had
worked.

contributing member to the A.R.E. work.
