TEXT

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [3048].
3. As we find, there are disturbing conditions that are preventing the better normal functioning of this body. In some respects these are tendencies, but with the expenditure of the nerve energies and the unbalancing of the chemical forces through the body, these are bringing disturbance throughout the system.
4. Then, these are the conditions as we find them:
5. The blood supply indicates those conditions where the upsetting of the digestion causes acidity, the old disturbance in the pyloric portion of the stomach is still - under certain taxations, and especially if any carbonated waters or things of that nature are taken - very aggravating. For, anything that has to do with hops or spiritus or malt liquors is upsetting to the body balance. These aggravate the conditions where in the gall duct area we have sediments. Rather than gallstones there are sediments in the duct itself, and the lack of activity through this gives those tendencies for the sick headaches, not resting well of nights, and the restlessness; with some anxiety to the superficial circulation in the form of disturbing rash. All of these, as we find, become a part of the disturbance with this body.
6. These also are the activities as far as the nerves are concerned, with this unbalancing of the digestive force, the lack of proper assimilation; causing the souring of certain foods. This causes the body to give way, more and more, to those things that pertain to regular activity of diet. And this upsets the areas in the jejunum, as well as through the digestive tract, especially in the pylorus.
7. The inflammation of the diaphragm area is still existent to some extent.
8. All of these contribute to the general disturbance of this body. While there are not gallstones, there is sediment - and the effects that would commonly arise in the first stages of such disturbance.
9. The anxieties, or uncertainties through the body, have tended - in the activities of the body - to force the body to become rather resentful. This is often taken out on those to whom the entity should be the closer, yet we find these activities cause a great deal of physical and mental anguish or anxiety through the body.
10. These also affect the circulation between heart, liver and kidneys.
11. And without the correction of these in the present there may be produced such a condition as to cause disturbances to become more and more aggravated in this body.
12. In making the better conditions for this body:
13. Every third day, or every second day would be still better, - we would have a general hydrotherapy treatment; including a Fume Bath, one time using Witchhazel and the next time using Atomidine - alternating these, you see, - a teaspoonful put in the cup of boiling water that is put under the body while it is in the Fume Cabinet, so that the fumes of these properties may settle over the body, see?
14. Follow each of these Fume Baths with a thorough massage.
15. Also occasionally - that is, with the first hydrotherapy treatment, and then after that about ten days to two weeks apart - have a high colonic irrigation.
16. After the second colonic irrigation has been given, and the other hydrotherapy treatments have been followed in the meantime as indicated, we would then - not before - have the gall duct area drained osteopathically!
17. Keep those foods that are not too rich. Not too much meats, nor yet the tendency to be too much the user of just juices or even just raw fruit, but these should be well balanced in their use.
18. Take plenty of sea foods that are fresh and good, from which a great deal of iodine may be obtained.
19. Beware of those things such as malt drinks or carbonated waters of any nature.
20. Have a nominal amount of exercise.
21. Do that.
22. Ready for questions.
23. (Q) What should be done for local sinus trouble?
    (A) As the hydrotherapy applications are made, we would give these areas secondary treatments with the low electrical forces that pass through the hand; and this would make some adjustments; as well as the head and neck and face being massaged so as to break up and eliminate those poisons accumulated there.
24. (Q) The gas bloating?
    (A) When the other conditions are adjusted, it will make way for better conditions in this direction.
    Do that for the present.
25. We are through.

Two copies to Self (one for Mr. Kahn in case you wish him to help you get started with the treatments outlined)
    Copy to Ass'n file
(See extra sheet of directions [which was enclosed] for the Physiotherapist. Mr. Kahn has gotten treatments similar to these in the Raleigh Hotel, from Olsen & Hansen, masseurs.
See extra sheet of directions [which was enclosed] for the osteopath, who is not to begin until at least two weeks of the other treatments have been followed. When you are ready for this, and if you are still in Washington, we would refer you to Dr. Lulu Irene Waters, 1707 Columbia Rd., a good osteopath who has had experience with Mr. Cayce's readings.
Atomidine - $1 a bottle, The Atomidine Co., 9 So. 8th Ave., Mt. Vernon, N.Y.)

BACKGROUND

1. Questions submitted:
   (First Physical)
   1. What causes and what should be done for the following? 2. Nervousness? 3. Gallstone? 4. Local sinus? 5. Gas bloating? 6. Are kidneys or liver disturbed?
2. 6/09/43 Letter: "I have been troubled with my stomach gas bloating. Several years ago the Dr. thought I had an ulcer, but X-rays eliminated duodenal ulcer. Had scientific massages that helped a great deal and I got along fairly well the last four years.
"Have been very active and busy in business, and politics, and became very irregular with meals and other things, and generally overdid it. Have always been of an extremely nervous disposition and the Dr. said most of my trouble was caused by nerves. Have also had local sinus trouble of years. About 2 months while in Chicago I had a very severe attack of acute pains in the pit of my stomach and chest, this was about 1 o'clock in the morning. I had eaten around 7 - o'clock, taken a norcarlic preparation after several hours pain let up. Have not had such severe attack since but similar ones.
"Had x-rays made of my stomach an gall bladder same as years ago x-ray pictures showed that I had a gallstone. Had electric cardiagram made of my heart which was ok.
"Would appreciate your trying to help me find out just what is wrong with me, and also what you prescribe or recommend for me."
