This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 2nd day of December, 1943, in accordance with request made by the self - [3050], Associate Member of the Ass'n for Research and Enlightenment, Inc., through Miss [1747].

TEXT

1. GC: You will go over this body and give the physical condition at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures, answering the questions as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes - same place where the [1100]s lived.
3. Yes, we have the body here, [3050]; this we have had before.
4. As we find, some conditions have improved - and then, with some indiscretions in the radiation; that is, getting cold or too hot, and a disregard of warnings in some instances about the diet - upsettings have again come.
5. As we find, when there are upsettings in the liver area, apply the Castor Oil Packs. These will aid in creating a better balance in eliminations. But be careful not to eat sweets, and especially beware of peanuts and any of their combinations - for these will not be well. Popcorn would be well for the body. It will work better with the coordinating of the activities between liver and kidneys.
6. For the burnings of the bladder, we would apply Glyco-Thymoline Packs over the pubic center or area. Let these remain on warm, or hot, but use salt heat rather than an electric pad - this will make for better conditions.
7. The gentle massage or rub occasionally will keep down the heart pressure and make for better conditions through the body.
8. Do occasionally cleanse the colon area.
9. As we find, it would be better to alternate the massages and the osteopathic treatments, taking one of each occasionally. These would bring the better conditions for the body.

11. (Q) What should be done to relieve my eyes?
    (A) Bathe these with a weak Glyco-Thymoline solution. Use an eye cup, and two parts of distilled water (preferably) to one part of the Glyco-Thymoline. This irritation is a part of the kidney disturbance that has come from the upsetting in the digestive forces.
12. (Q) Were the Baths given in the proper manner?
    (A) These have been very good. If these will be alternated with the osteopathic treatments and massages, it will be better for the body.
13. (Q) Were the Castor Oil Packs for the liver given properly?
    (A) These were very well, but give these only when they are necessary for the relieving of the stress or the activity of incoordination between liver and kidneys, or aching in the caecum area.
14. (Q) Where has the mistake been made in following instructions?
    (A) The mistake hasn't been so much in following instructions as it has been a little indiscretions in between, as just indicated. Be mindful in the diet. Don't overwork self. While it is not necessary to become absolutely non-active, don't overtax self. And then being anxious when food is taken, and not the proper balance in the food will make for upsetting - when conditions are such as have been described for this body.
15. (Q) Should tonic and vitamins be administered?
    (A) Not in the present. Occasionally, to keep down the gas as well as the pains through abdominal area, add a little Milk of Bismuth and Elixir of Lactated Pepsin. Do this whenever there is heaviness or a tendency to belch. Don't take too much and not regularly. But when there is the feeling of inconvenience, take half a teaspoonful of the Bismuth and six drops of the Pepsin stirred in a full glass of water.
    This had best be followed by a colonic irrigation the next day.
16. (Q) Would Vapor-Bath treatments be good?
    (A) Occasionally.
17. (Q) Why the tired, weak feelings?
    (A) Just overtaxing of the body under the stress and strain.
    Follow those suggestions here indicated. When needed use Castor Oil Packs, followed with the Olive Oil taken internally. When there are those feelings of a fulness, once or twice a week, take the Bismuth and Pepsin for the cleansing, absorbing, and to add to the ability of digesting the foods. Do use Glyco-Thymoline for the eyes. Do use occasionally the massage, and then the next week use the osteopathic manipulations and adjustments. These will keep a better balance for the body.

2. 7/54 Note by Miss [1747]:
   With the help of Mrs. Spriggens [PhT.], who loaned us her steam cabinet we followed the treatment as suggested. At the end of the treatment Mrs. Spriggens said 'you are much better aren't you, I can tell by your looks!' Mrs. [...] said 'Yes.' Several years later she told me that she felt better then than she had for some time, and would like to take some of those treatments.
   She did not follow the diet very well.
   She has had trouble with her eyes and an acid condition, but on the whole has not had a return of that condition that she had at that time.
