4/19/43 [
3106]'s ltr. to EC: "Have just read the book of
your life - There is a River.
"Must say I have been fascinated, and I believe all of it,
because have been a believer for a long time and have had
practical experience with mental telepathy, but yours is a
gift supreme.
"I blush for shame that our so called institutions of higher
education, and entrenched authority have been and persist in
being so blind.
"Have placed and tried to place character analysis on a
scientific basis before them, but can sympathize with you,
because they refuse to even experiment with it - regardless
of proof.
"I am interested in your work and should like to join any
organization you have. Believe in some way I may be able
to help you, how, I do not know at present.
"Should like to know, what you think of a fond dream I have
of helping more people by entering character or vocational
analysis work, and leaving practice of medicine?
"You need not answer my last question - unless you wish to do
so - but let me hear from you."
REPORTS
1/28/44 letter from [
3106]: "On page 3 of your last bulletin
- you have a paragraph - that you need Physician of any
school to administer Physical readings.
"I should like to help here if you tell me how."
2/04/44 EC's letter: "Thank you for yours of the 28th. We
are glad to know that we may have your cooperation. I am
sure that we will be sending you some people. There are
quite a number in Chicago that have appointments. Hoping
we may indeed be the means - of a help through you."
4/02/46 HLC's letter to [
3106]: "Thank you for returning the
card on Deafness so promptly.
"While the abstract on deafness may not have proven of
special interest to you, I believe you will find subsequent
abstracts of greater value. Work is in progress on two
subjects - Epilepsy and Multiple Sclerosis which we hope
to present before our Congress period.
"It would be most helpful if you could attend our Annual
Congress June
17-23, and take part in two of the meetings
especially devoted to the physical readings. On Friday
morning June 21, there will be a meeting of the Advisory
Board of Physicians. This discussion will be on the best
ways of presenting, testing and using the information in the
readings on physical ailments. We would welcome you as a
member of this Board. That evening several physicians who
have had experience with the readings will present their
points of view on them in a round-table discussion.
"I would like very much to have you examine our records and
make suggestions about our work. If the Congress period
is not suitable, perhaps some other time would be more
satisfactory. The Beach is an excellent resort aside
from an interest in our records.
"Other meetings of the Congress will include a seminar
devoted to the pattern of spiritual evolution explained
in the Life Readings. You will receive a program."
6/10/46 [
3106]'s letter to HLC: "Your letter on multiple
sclerosis was very interesting indeed.
"In answer to some of the questions I should say:
1. Treatments should be more specific and to the point.
Case by case - what was done.
2. More complete extracts would be helpful.
3. I imagine if the journals were approached we could get
the material in. Clinical Medicine of North Chicago would.
4. More of the commoner chronic conditions."
GD's note: I copied his letter for Multiple Sclerosis card
index file (just like the Deafness cards were handled).
(How about getting him in touch with Mrs. Walgreen sometime?)
5/13/48 GD's note: He requested and was sent Dr. Henry
George's breakdown of the EC readings on arthritis.
12/20/67 He requested and was sent a copy of his Life
Reading. "I do not recall any of this... I have received
some very useful information from Dr. Wm. A. McGarey for
the treatment to be used on my wife, who is paralyzed."
