(Q) If the baby lives, give treatment for breast.
(With other baby, the nipples were so caked and cracked that
could not nurse him.)
(A) The use, here, of an equal combination of Turpentine,
Camphor and Mutton Tallow (melted), as a massage around the
breasts, even as a poultice to cover same would be well;
leaving the nipples clear, of course - these not to be
covered. These will be the better things for caring for
these. In either case it would be well to use this, whether
the baby lives or doesn't live.
Beware of using breast pumps here, until there is the
sureness that there is the clearing of the infection of this
character from the system. While it may be necessary to draw
off the milk, this had best be done by nominal means - either
a child or a person, rather than with a pump - so that there
may not be a BRUISING of the glands, under the present
conditions.
(Q) If baby lives, would it be better to put it on a bottle
than to nurse it?
(A) Would be very much better to put it on the bottle, here.
(Q) Any special milk?
(A) This depends upon the general conditions. But as we
find, Carnation is the better combination for babies.
(Q) Should I take any exercise at all?
(A) Take a little exercise, to be sure, but not taxation.
Do a little walking, but keep in the open as much as
practical, and rest a great deal. Keep off the feet, - that
is, in standing, or the like, but have regular periods for a
little exercise, unless there is to be the entire dependence
upon the osteopathic treatments for the exercise. Of course,
there can be the treatments to take the place of the
exercise, but it will be a lot of work for the doctor, if
it's done in that way!
(Q) Is driving a car harmful?
(A) DECIDEDLY SO! DON'T DRIVE A CAR!
(Q) What should be done for heartburn and indigestion?
(A) Haven't we just given those properties to take
internally, which are to purify the blood stream of the
sources of infection, as well as for those activities as
related to the assimilations? These should clear this
entirely.
(Q) What causes the weakness of my eyes?
(A) The very nature of the character of infection is a drain
on the eyes. But these should be helped materially by the
osteopathic corrections, as well as the use of the douches.
(Q) Can this be remedied so I won't have to wear glasses?
(A) Let's get through with this other condition! You may
not need glasses, my dear!
Do these things and be consistent, and we will bring the
better forces and influences for all concerned.
We are through for the present.

BACKGROUND
7/30/43 Background comments and questions, just prior to the
reading, by sister [
1223] and mother who came to be present
for it.
1. What caused this impurity of the blood? How and where
was it contracted? Should the shots I have been taking be
continued?
2. If there is still trouble in the spine, what treatment
will cure this?
3. Will I be able to carry this baby? If so, will this
blood condition affect it in any way?
4. What caused me to rupture at five months pregnant?
(water broke)
5. If the baby lives, give treatment for breast. (With
other baby, the nipples were so caked and cracked that could
not nurse him.)
6. How much exercise should I take? Is driving a car
harmful?
7. Give treatment for heartburn and indigestion.
8. What causes the weakness of my eyes? Can this be
remedied so I won't have to wear glasses?
9. Did the fright I had cause me to lose my first baby?
10. Were the treatments I took in Morehead City, N.C.,
harmful or beneficial? (This was about three years ago - he
said I had ulcerated womb. Have since though the blood
condition started then, as he was not very clean around his
office and with his instruments, etc.) (Have been taking the
shots for about a year and a half now, from a doctor in
Savannah. I went with a friend who was being examined, who
persuaded me to be examined and the doctor found this bad
blood condition that I didn't know I had. Later my husband
was examined whose blood was found to be perfect, also my
little boy.)
11. Any suggestions regarding the baby's sex and name?
12. Should I keep my same doctor or have another one?
13. (If osteopathic treatments are recommended) Would Dr.

REPORTS
8/10/43 Report by sister, [
1223]: [
3120] lost her baby
Wednesday. They phoned for Mama to come and help out, but
the baby came before she got there - born at 6 months - lived
2 hrs...said the Rdg. explained so thoroughly just how she
felt, that she was experiencing those contractions of the
womb or vagina at the very time the Rdg. was being given.
She will now try to carry out the Rdg. and get rid of the
other condition. She started on the douches immediately.
Her husband went to see the osteopath and he wouldn't take
the case, said he wasn't trained in taking care of expectant
mothers, but I know he was just scared - because if the Rdg.
said 'We'd accept him,' I know he's all right. She'll go
back to him now, and get those corrections made."
4/11/44 Letter: "During the month of August last year I
requested and received my Physical Rdg. I am definitely
sure that I have received the utmost help, both spiritual
and physical, since that time. I did not find any
difficulties in carrying out the reading thoroughly and in
accordance with the instructions as set forth in the rdg.
Inasmuch as I have followed the rdg. for nearly a year and
have found that the rdg. covered my condition as I had been
advised by several physicians existed, I am now requesting a
second Physical Rdg. ...I appreciate the great amount of
work you are now doing and the amount ahead of you, but would
like for you to consider my second Physical Rdg., at the
earliest time you deem practical."
1. Should I continue medicine as prescribed in reading?
2. Is spinal fluid negative or positive?
3. Should I maintain douches as set forth in first reading?
4. What caused injury in spine?
5. Have the osteopathic treatments helped and should they be
continued?
6. What should I do to ease nervous condition?
7. What is causing pain in right side and back?
8. Is there a cure without operation?
9. Should I have tonsils removed?
