This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 15th day of May, 1944, in accordance with request made by the mother, Mrs. [457], Active Member of the Ass'n for Research and Enlightenment, Inc.

TEXT

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes. As we find, developments of this body are very good. While there is a rash which appears at times, if there are more precautions as to the amount of proteins given the body in other than the regular diet, for some months to come, we will find that this will soon disappear.
3. There should not be the attempt to give too great a quantity of foods too heavy with properties hard to digest; as of egg, only the yolk should ever be given until the body at least has all of its teeth. For those periods indicate the abilities of the digestive system to digest other characters of properties, or the abilities of the system to take care of the amount of albumen which is created by this variation in it.
4. That which forms calcium is very well to give the body; the jelly which forms from chicken neck, when it is cooked long and the juices of the bone may be taken, or that which causes the jellying as chicken feet. When older, we find that pig's feet or calf's feet or the like are well, but not at this period of the development or not until there is, through the natural formation and development, the complete development of the teeth.
5. The general activities: Keep in the open oft but never with the sun shining directly on the face or eyes. These should ever be shaded. Never during those periods from 11:00 until 2:00. Then the body should not be in the sun, but the early periods and late periods are very well. It is the absorption of the ultra violet which gives strength and vitality to the nerves and muscular forces, which comes from the effect of the rays of the sun from the activities of the body. It is not so well that there be too much of the tan from the sun on the body. This forms on body to protect the body from same. Thus not so much of the tan but sufficient for the healthy activity of body.
6. Keep the eliminations well. These will be found best by those properties which have the senna base. These we would use occasionally when these are necessary: Caldwell's Syrup of Pepsin is very good to take in broken doses, which is much better than larger quantities. Give for a day or a half a day in broken doses, every half an hour. Then flushing these by larger doses is much more effective for the body.

8. (Q) Should strawberry mark be removed with dry-ice pencil?
   (A) Not necessary. This is a part of that indicated development coming from those conditions as prenatal effects. Attempting to remove may cause, unless there is well considered the circulation, a far worse mark than that indicated.
9. (Q) What prenatal condition caused such a mark?
   (A) This we should find from that information which has already been indicated for body.
10. (Q) Is there such a thing as allergy?
    (A) This is rather a fad. To be sure individuals may become allergic to certain conditions because of excess of certain elements in the body. But these are rather exaggerated oft.
11. (Q) Why should there be difficulties with the digestion? Is this due to inheritance or anything done or not done by mother during pregnancy?
    (A) When the body has been given those that are not to be digested before it has reached certain developments, it produces indigestion. If there are excesses there is produced indigestion, and this depends. A great many things that are easily digested if taken when the body is angry will be hard to digest. This doesn't matter whether a baby or 105. At any age it produces poison to eat when angry, as it does with most everything else attempted to be done under such disturbances.
12. (Q) Are there any instructions as to diet for the next years?
    (A) This should be rather studied from the care of babies and dependent upon the kind of baby, as to what those cares have been in those periods of preparation, as well as in the early periods, and don't attempt to feed babies or children with foods for those who are old.
13. (Q) What causes flatus or drosses when diet is watched so carefully?
    (A) This comes from improper balance of diets.
14. (Q) What caused the cold baby had recently?
    (A) Excess of acidity by too much of protein in the foods.
15. (Q) How can one avoid the enlarging of adenoids and tonsils?
    (A) By massage. Stimulating the centers through which the circulation goes to the various portions of the adenoids or tonsils being affected, by too little or too much.
16. (Q) Were the injections against whooping cough and diphtheria detrimental to the body? If so can anything be done?
    (A) These have been done. Do the things that would be in keeping with making normal conditions, overcoming the harm already done. Keep better eliminations, better stimulation to distribution of that assimilated. This can be done best by keeping the centers between sympathetic and cerebrospinal system stimulated for its best activity. That is why those portions of bath and massage that have been suggested are those activities to make better stimulation. These are more active in the 4th lumbar, 9th dorsal, throughout the brachial areas, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th dorsals and 1st, 2nd, and 3rd cervicals.
17. (Q) Will the vaccination against smallpox be detrimental?
    (A) Depends upon when it is administered. When it is a little older give plenty of celery and lettuce and you won't ever have to vaccinate, or if you will keep the vaccine from milk or cow about the body, vaccine will not take.
18. (Q) Would it be well to rub legs and back with an alcohol rub or some combination with alcohol for strengthening?
    (A) Depends upon whether this is needed or not. This is a good way to develop them. It would be better to use Cocoa Butter than alcohol. If you want to keep them reduced use alcohol. If you want to develop normally use Cocoa Butter, or Olive Oil and Peanut Oil or one or the other of these.
19. (Q) What led to the choice of name [3172] for this entity?
    (A) These are from the developments. Read what has been given as respecting this.
20. (Q) Is it in harmony with the Creator for the parents to direct this entity into the finer classic music, or should entity be given choice between modern and classic?
    (A) These may be directed and then choices will be made irrespective of what the directions are, because the answers must come from the soul of the entity if it would be above the ordinary. And, as has been indicated, the body in these directions, if given the opportunity, will be above the ordinary. [See 3172-1 Reports.]
