(Q) How can I overcome my tendency to stay away from people?
(A) This is a matter of mind, and this the entity has to
overcome within self. Be interested - not a meddler, but be
interested in other people's affairs, other people's
troubles. And you'll find plenty of 'em will tell 'em to
you! Be not a meddler, though, but use it through the
seeking of spiritual counsel, or through your own church.
(Q) How can I gain more confidence in myself?
(A) By having more confidence in others and being truer
to, a better friend and neighbor to, others.
For, as you find self interesting self in being a helpful
influence in the experiences of others, you will gain
confidence in self.
Do that.

BACKGROUND
9/01/43 Letter: "...It seems that I have an extra beat to
my heart. Doctors say there is no leak and everything
including kidneys is okay, but this hard extra beat, while
not dangerous, so the doctor says, is extremely annoying and
causes me to have no confidence in myself and a tendency to
stay away from people. If there is anything else the matter,
I don't know it. Can you ask what can be done to correct
this or help it? Sometimes I feel like I am going to
pieces..."
