2/26/52 Reply to questionnaire-letter: "Some parts of the
reading do not seem to be clear to me. I did, however always
rebel against authority, both from older sisters, aunts, etc.
and got myself into trouble with superiors more than once by
being sarcastic, when I thought they were too demanding or
would not allow the staff decent food in my earlier years.
When working as a secretary in Denmark, I lost out one year
on my promotion by being impertinent to the manager.
Regarding benevolent influences from Venus and Jupiter, some
30 years ago I had my horoscope cast and it stated the same
about Venus and Jupiter with opposition from the moon and
difficulty in marriage but advice was given me to seek
release in spiritual philosophy. The sojourn some 300
years ago to New Amsterdam, N.Y. does not seem to bring
recollection, except that I feel best at home around and in
New York and Conn., also feel that I have met some people
before. I have applied the suggestion of being more
friendly. The truth is that I used to be very self-conscious
and bashful. Regarding my Viking days some 1200 years ago,
I was very much interested in tales of the old Viking sagas,
when I was a child. I used to sneak away to a pine forest
and play Viking with arrow and bow, not letting on to anyone
for fear of being laughed at. I do get along well with
young people and like youth. Regarding the Persian
experience, you will note that it is said my companion and
I have turned each our way and should keep it that way. We
were too contrasting in our ways, but we are on friendly
terms and correspond with each other. My husband [

lives in California. We are both interested in spiritual
philosophy, although he leans toward spiritualistic
philosophy, which I do not accept. As a matter of fact,
he sent me my first copy of TIR which brought me to the
A.R.E. I gave up the thought of a second marriage as I found
no mental companionship (referred to in the 9th and 10th
question). (I have removed these questions from my copy of
the reading and wish you would do the same to the copy you
hold.) It seems my son and I were together in my Egyptian
experience. This is the only one where it seems I have done
any good. The question is then, why do we return here, if
one's character does not improve? I have overcome many
earthly urges such as vanity and love of possessions. A
lifetime can make a great change in a person.
P.S. I am real happy to know that the good work is
progressing, as I have felt from the very beginning that here
at last is essential truth."

GD's note: Mrs. [

be actively interested in the A.R.E. work and she and her
son, [

phases of it, besides continuing as sponsoring members - to
