This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 28th day of September, 1943, in accordance with request made by the self - Mrs. [3247], new Associate Member of the Ass'n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc., recommended by Mr. Tom Sugrue.

TEXT

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [3247].
3. As we find, there are disturbing conditions that prevent the better physical functioning of the body. Portions of these are the result of operative forces that have left scar tissue, and not removing the causes - cysts in scar tissue have become a result.
4. While it may become necessary for operation, owing to the quantity or amount of tissue involved, there should be a general preparation - and a correction of the causes of these disturbances. Should operative measures then become necessary it will be easier upon the body, and the causes removed, these would not recur.
5. These are conditions as we find them with this body:
6. The blood supply is very good, but there is quite a variation in the beat or the coordination of the circulation through portions of the body. Thus, as the body finds at times the lower extremities or the upper part of the body, or the arms and hands will appear to be numb or asleep or lacking circulation. While this has not caused any perceptible change in the internal or deep circulation - as heart, lungs, liver and kidneys - it does make a variation at times as to the activity of the liver and the kidneys; at times causing the lack of circulation through same, causing a slowing of same. These give rise to pressures that cause the organs of elimination to become involved in the disturbance. At others there will be found poor eliminations. And these bring about a weakness, with distresses through parts of the body.
7. These are partially due as a first cause, to a subluxation existing in the 8th and 9th dorsal and in the 3rd cervical.
8. For corrective measures then, we would have a series of hydrotherapy treatments, once each week. Each treatment should include first a mild sweat, not too heavy, but a mild sweat; then a Fume Bath, with witchhazel - an ounce, to the four ounces of water that would be boiling in the cabinet - after the body has been heated and the lights turned off.
9. Following this have a thorough rub down, after the hot and cold shower, of course, take at least three of these.
10. Then the body would be in condition for the osteopathic corrections to be made in the 8th and 9th dorsal and in the 3rd cervical. Have at least six of such adjustments osteopathically. At such treatments coordinate each of the areas in the lumbar axis throughout the sacral and the ileac plexus. This will ease this strain on the bladder and those areas between the stomach and the conditions where lesions are formed.
11. When such corrections are given, massage the abdomen, especially the caecum area and the central areas of the abdomen, with an equal combination of Olive Oil and Peanut Oil.
12. This may entirely alleviate the necessity of operative forces, but if it does not alleviate entirely the cyst in the ovarian area, it will segregate same so that there will be little trouble found if it does become necessary for the operation.
13. Do that and we will find much better conditions for the body.

15. (Q) What can be done about headaches? Eyes?
    (A) These come from the general condition of the system; especially the slowing of the elimination of foods through the alimentary canal. But with the correction of those conditions in the dorsal and cervical areas, these should eliminate these sources; especially with the abdominal massage as should be given with the oils.
16. (Q) Is there a cure for "spreading growths" on my skin?
    (A) With the general treatments and better coordination established in the eliminating forces of the body, these should be in the main eliminated. If these hinder, or if these do not respond, apply a combination of two pinches of baking soda in a teaspoonful of Castor Oil. Stir this together well and massage with same. Do not begin using this, however, until after the other treatments have been taken.
17. (Q) For health, what should I weigh?
    (A) This depends on how much you want to weight. Whether a heavy weight or normal. About 120. 115 to 120 would be a nice weight. If you want to be a heavy weight 135 to 150 for this body with its structural portions. It can do either one.
18. (Q) Is UNITY the answer to my "nerves"?
    (A) It should be the CHRIST as the answer, not Unity or any cult. But know this in self: As given of old, think not who will descend from heaven to bring a message that ye may know, or who would come from over the seas; for Lo it is within thine own heart, thine own mind. Then remember as He has given, "I go to prepare a place that where I am there ye may be also - if ye love me, ye will keep my commandments and I and the Father will come and abide with thee." Then what is thine answer? Put thy hand in His. For who healeth all thy diseases? Who supplyeth thee with life, with food, with shelter? His force, His love, His confidence in thee. forsake Him not.

1. 6/19/43 [3247]'s letter: "Have been ill again and am doctoring constantly, so am hoping I'll be better as time goes on. However, there may be no cure but an operation and most doctors say they doubt if even then I could be helped. You see, I have already had numerous operations and my bladder is grown fast to my stomach and have chronic Cystitis constantly, adhesions, etc."
