TEXT

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [3260].
3. As we find, there are disturbances in the body; and unless measures are taken for correction these may lead to that condition that may become very serious, causing an untimely period of departure from the opportunities of this particular sojourn.
4. These disturbances have to do with eliminations, with the activity of the body forces - as the liver and kidneys. While the attacks in the present are from a plethoric condition, it is not too active - yet not dead in the lung area itself. There are periods when two or three days in a run there will be cold and hot sensations, or the experiences that are a part of the entity's activity are left so much to the entity.
5. Take it to the Lord in prayer.
6. For as we find, the lungs, the heart, the liver and the kidneys are all involved more or less in the disturbance. That there has not been greater disturbance already is because of the manner of the disturbance to the lungs, as it acts in the capacity for becoming a clarifying agent to that affected area of the body, the mind and the spiritual activities.
7. First we would begin with a course of Atomidine; one drop in half a glass of water each morning before breakfast for ten days. Then leave off.
8. Begin then (not before) inhaling the fumes from apple brandy in a charred oak keg. Inhale twice each day, three times if there is stinging or any temperature.
9. At the same time the fumes are begun, also begin having a massage twice a week.
10. Do take Acigest as an aid to better balance the gastric flows of the stomach itself. Only a teaspoonful would [be] taken once or twice a week (but the same day or days each week), only in raw milk.
11. Do keep fewer of the meats, save fish and fowl. And when fish is taken, let it be of the salty sea variety rather than the fresh water.
12. Do take exercise in the open air. Sleep with plenty of air in the room, but never in a draft.
13. Vegetable soups, every form of protein that may be had from vegetables, fish and fowl will be the better for the body.
14. Do these and we will bring bettered conditions for the body.
15. We are through with this Reading.

BACKGROUND

1. 8/15/43 Letter from Gladys Dillman: "She is an orphan, and a friend of ours has given her a home. She has had to work hard at domestic work all her life until Mrs. B. gave her a home. Mrs. B. helped her go to vocational school and she - the girl - is now working at a trade but is in quite a bad physical condition - almost it seems to me at the stage of T.B. However, she keeps on working."
2. 8/26/43 "She is paying for her Rdg. herself. She gave me the money, but I am enclosing check instead."
