This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 13th day of January, 1944, in accordance with request made by the self - Mrs. [3268], Associate Member of the Ass'n for Research and Enlightenment, Inc.

TEXT

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [3268].
3. As we find, there are disturbances of rather an insidious nature. These are in the form of that which is producing a type of strep in the blood supply. It is not that which causes inflammation in each reaction, but about every fifth corpuscle attack is turned to strep that has the twist that gives infection as it passes in the liver and the spleen. These cause temperature and, most of all, the depression in the sympathetic nervous system. This is an oriental type, yet it is that which has been latent in the body.
4. As we find, this may be eliminated. It will require compounds as a mixture, and this activity will eliminate these disturbances. This would be in the form of a tonic. After a while these conditions may be held in abeyance and then they come again as an infection in liver and spleen, through being carried in the blood, causing this form of temperature.
5. These, then, are the manners to eliminate same:
6. To a gallon of distilled water add, in the order named:

   Yellow Dock Root..............2 ounces,
Burdock Root................1/2 ounce,
Snake Root....................1 ounce,
Cincho Bark.................1/2 ounce,
Buchu Leaves................1/4 ounce,
Podophyllin...................1 grain.

   Use an enamel, not aluminum, container. Boil thoroughly the quantity until it is reduced to one quart, when strained. Then while warm add:

   Balsam of Tolu - cut in two
ounces of Grain Alcohol.......1 dram,
Syrup of Horehound..........1/2 ounce,
Syrup of Wild Cherry Bark...1/2 ounce.

   Shake the solution well and take a teaspoonful three times a day.
7. Keep away from salt water fish. Do eat fresh water fish and fowl, or wild game, or such as deer, bear or the like.
8. Do these and we will eliminate the disturbances.
9. Ready for questions.
10. (Q) Is the Oriental disease "Sprue" responsible for frequent sore mouth?
    (A) As indicated, this comes from an infection in the blood that causes most of the disturbances, whether in throat, nose, mouth or stomach. It had better be in your mouth though, than in your stomach!
11. (Q) What is the cause and what will prevent severe headaches?
    (A) The stomach, from those poisons from the liver and spleen.
12. (Q) Is there a rectal condition which needs correction?
    (A) With the vibrations that will be brought in the eliminations by the use of this tonic, this condition should be corrected. If there is still disturbance, we would use an injection of oils prepared in this manner:

    Glycerine.....................1 ounce,
Carbolic Acid.................2 drops.

    Mix this very thoroughly, as with mortise and pestle. Then add:

    Usoline (or Nujol)............2 ounces.

    Again stir very thoroughly. This should be sufficient for three injections. Let these be at least ten days apart. Use a baby syringe for injecting these oils into the rectum.
13. (Q) Am I allergic to certain foods?
    (A) If you imagine it, you can be allergic to most anything, if you want to! But these conditions in the present come from strep in the blood. Do these things indicated and we will find much better conditions for this body.
