TEXT
GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it
thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the
present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions,
also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering
the questions, as I ask them:
EC: Yes, we have the body here, [
3287].
As we find, while in many respects the physical forces are
very good, there are disturbances that need correction in the
present. For, gradually, with the disturbances, the
resistances are being broken down; and may later affect other
portions of the body.
These, then, are conditions as we find them with this body:
The blood supply indicates that there has been and still is a
form of strep. Not sufficient to produce too great a strain,
nor such a great strain as to break down the body, but where
there has been infection it continues to produce sufficient
disturbances as to cause the body not only to give way to the
injuries but to gradually cause the structural portions in
the pelvic area to become out of balance.
This produces a strain on the whole body. This, combined
with the infection and the continued disturbance at the knee,
will give way to greater disorders later - unless corrections
are made.
These, to be sure, act upon the nerve forces of the body.
Oft there is produced irritation and aggravation through the
whole mental as well as physical forces of the body. Also,
through the giving way to the unbalanced condition, these are
causing aggravations to the nerve forces that make for a
better balance between the impulses of the body and the
general physical forces. And these prevent the body, then,
from keeping the better influences about its own activities.
In meeting the needs of these, not only is it necessary to
consider the organs that are being involved, - as in the
pelvic area and the heart, - but the general nervous system,
as well as the blood stream itself.
Then, in removing the disturbances or in making corrections,
- first there should be the purifying of the blood stream.
This we would do by giving those properties that would
clarify the glandular system.
Begin taking Atomidine internally, one drop in half a glass
of water each morning before breakfast, for five days. Then
leave off five days. Then take again five days.
THEN begin taking (not before) the Saffron Tea, a cupful each
day - or at least two ounces. Put a pinch of the American
Saffron in a teacup and pour boiling water over it - allow to
stand for twenty to thirty minutes - strain and drink. A
pinch between the thumb and forefinger, in the cup of boiling
water. Drink two ounces of this, once each day.
Also at the same time begin taking mullein tea, prepared in
the same manner - one dram to a cup of boiling water, allowed
to steep - drinking only an ounce of this, once each day.
Once each week we would apply Glyco-Thymoline Packs about the
knee.
Once a week (at different periods, of course, but have a
regular time to do it each week) apply Mullein Stupes on the
knee. Use the green Mullein if possible, though it will be
rather seared at this period of the year. Use as broad or
large leaves as possible, allowing them to remain in boiling
water a few minutes to wilt them thoroughly, and apply in
layers about the knee.
Each of these Packs would be left on for one hour.
The Glyco-Thymoline is alkaline, while the Mullein is tending
more toward acid, - but these are acids and poisons in the
knee that cause the stiffness, where the oil has been taken
from the system, see?
Following the packs each time - which would be twice a week,
you see, but at opposite periods of the week - massage the
knee with a combination of oils in these proportions:
Olive Oil.................2 ounces,
Peanut Oil................2 ounces,
Lanolin (liquefied).......1 teaspoonful.
When beginning with the second round of the Atomidine, -
begin with osteopathic adjustments and corrections in the
pelvic areas, and to correct these disturbances in the
unbalancing of the body. This would require at least six of
such adjustments, properly made. We would have one like
Irvin to give these.
Keep up, then, the Saffron and the Stupes and the Packs, also
the Mullein Tea, and we should correct these conditions for
this body.
Keep good eliminations, even though it may be necessary at
times to take colonics. Do take colonics rather than too
much of cathartics. But the use of the Saffron as well as
the Mullein should correct the eliminations.
In the diet, - keep away from too much starches. Have plenty
of sea foods, fowl; little or no hog meat or beef - for this
body. Use plenty of vegetables that are grown above and
below the ground, but in the proportion of two above to one
below the ground.
Ready for questions.
(Q) Will this treatment get rid of the arthritic condition?
(A) This is neuritic, NOT arthritic in this body - and it's
a blessed thing it is! but taking these properties indicated
will purify the body.
(Q) Will the stiffness of the knee be overcome, so that it
will be moveable?
(A) It should - it WILL, if the massages are given properly!
Give the oil massage each time after the Glyco-Thymoline
Packs, you see, as well as following the Mullein Stupes.
We are through with this Reading.
Two copies to Self (one for Dr. C. W. Irvin, osteopath,

you are ready to begin the osteopathic
treatments)

BACKGROUND
Strep infection after birth of my first child - localized in
kneecap which left it stiff - had two operations but neither
time did it become moveable. Last doctor advised me to leave
it alone, better as it is than it might be.
