TEXT

1. GC: You will give the relations of this entity and the universe, and the universal forces; giving the conditions which are as personalities, latent and exhibited in the present life; also the former appearances in the earth plane, giving time, place and the name, and that in each life which built or retarded the development for the entity; giving the abilities of the present entity, that to which it may attain, and how. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:
2. Yes, we have the records here of that entity now known as or called [3328].
3. In giving the interpretations of the records, these would be the combination of the entity's experiences in the material sojourns and during the interims between these:
4. One inclined to be very quiet, and sensitive at times; at other periods, and in its dreams of its own self, quite bold and quite outspoken.
5. Hence, in giving the interpretations, we would minimize the faults and magnify the virtues of the entity. If the entity, with the sensitiveness (that is above the ordinary), will apply self in spiritual things, it may do almost unbelievable jobs in aiding, in teaching, in working out those things that would be as a vocational guide or counsel to the young people. These should be the entity's activities, - teaching, ministering, demonstrating and acting in those capacities connected with the preservation or storing of foods and things that contribute to the material welfare of individuals.
6. Astrologically, we find aspects quite varied to much of that indicated in the physical experience of the entity. But, if the entity will learn to leave self entirely out of its application of its abilities, it may gain not only the approbation of friends and those who counsel with the entity but be active to bring graciousness and honor to those that may seek to aid the entity in such directions.
7. The activities in the earth have been quite varied. These indicate that the entity is one high-bred, as might be called, or one looking at and considering things from that angle of the golden vision of problems. This does not indicate that the answer to a problem is given immediately. Rather, there are the indications that if tempered with mercy and judgment, the real answer comes to the entity.
8. From astrological angles we find that Jupiter and Mars will have their varied effects. Yet owing to the head - or the forces through which brain functions in the ability to attune itself to the vibration of vocations as a whole. This makes quite a handicap for those who would apply such.
9. Then, let the body search for Creative Force, and this will bring the closer communion with the activities closest associated with the entity.
10. As to the appearances of the entity in the earth, - these have been many. Yet only a few are given that influence the entity directly in this appearance, save in those things pertaining to routine and form; for these naturally come with the testing out of other tenets or truths.
11. Before this the entity was in the land of the present nativity when there were those activities that brought about disturbances in the northern portion of the land; when groups were being herded from those disturbances in the Chicago area.
12. These brought abilities in those directions as to sensitiveness, which the entity would do well to practice, even yet, - that is, read a portion of scripture - not haphazardly but regularly as a routine, daily, and there will come those unfoldments in the daily experience. For, there is such great sensitiveness that most any desire may be brought to pass in the entity's seeking and putting its trust in the source of all strength.
13. The name then was Clara Wentworse.
14. Before that the entity was in the Norse land during those periods when there were the preparations for Crusades in many lands.
15. The entity was among those that gave of self and time to the analyzing of the forces of the body. And these brought the abilities for self-sacrifice, the ability as a waiter or as one who would nurse or maintain better relationships with the activities of the Creative Forces in such periods of experience.
16. The entity gained, and here again we find abilities in organization, in preparing, in making ready for one or two dozen individuals. These are well, not allowing the abilities to be abused but applied.
17. Before that the entity was in the 'city in the hills and plains.'
18. Then the entity was a niece of the leader, being a daughter of the leader's younger sister.
19. There the entity took up those activities in the preparation of bodies for the various healings or recuperative activities that were a part of the experience of each of those through that material sojourn.
20. The entity then contributed to the hospital work. Hence the entity is a very good nurse in the present, for it learned the anatomical structure exceedingly well.
21. Before that the entity was in the Egyptian land, when those people were gathering for what might be called the "showdown", or what might be called the shifting of responsibilities of many of those through that experience. These applications tended to vary because of circumstance.
22. It would be well to practice in that direction at present, for there will be periods when there will be persecution for what you have accomplished thus far. There will be graver problems when the entity appears to be divinely led.
23. In making application of self, that to which the entity may attain, and how:
24. Study to show self approved unto God. Keep the faith. Know the good, the evil, according to the dictates of thy own consciousness, - and know thy ideal.
25. Apply self in those directions that may help the more, - in teaching, in rearing, in directing others - and children especially.

27. (Q) Is the trouble with my life physical, karmic, or in my lack of vision?
    (A) Some is karmic, some is lack of vision. Self super-sensitiveness needs to be spiritualized. This will correct most of the experiences that prevent the entity finding emotion, romance, life in the present.
28. (Q) Is there a karmic reason for inability to use various abilities, due to health and family conditions?
    (A) Rather, as indicated, due to conditions, but lacking in the spiritualizing of its problems and ideals.
29. (Q) Am I following a necessary path, or is there some way in which I can change conditions to the benefit of all, that I do not see? In other words, is there some move I could make, either actual or in the use of abilities, that would give me more scope, while yet giving the same degree of comfort to my mother?
    (A) Follow as ye are directed, not by some other influence. For the influences are within thee, thyself, that ye would make manifest.
30. (Q) Is my failure to marry a karmic condition or due to a failure or circumstances due to others, or to a lack in myself?
    (A) These associations will be very outstanding - with one born in the same periods in which this entity finds itself.
31. (Q) The recorder-flute has opened up a good deal of experience and pleasure. Can you tell me or advise me anything in connection with this?
    (A) As it was with the heralds - these were a part of places of refuge.
32. (Q) I have been told to write, but do not see how I could do much in that line at present. Is this something that will be clearer at a later period?
    (A) As the entity applies itself in the manner indicated, the activities pertaining to teaching and directing - especially of children - will be the outline for the entity's work in self.
33. (Q) Ought I to make any effort to develop psychic ability?
    (A) It would be well, but set your ideal in one - don't change about.
34. (Q) Please explain and clarify my karmic connections with the following? My mother, [3097].
    (A) In many of the experiences. These you may best analyze by paralleling the life existence of the mother and self.

    (A) Here we find the association was in the Arabian and Persian land.

    (A) You have been ever active one with another, either directly or indirectly. So there are better activative influences together than alone.

    (A) We don't find Vilma [...]?

    (A) In the Egyptian experience.
40. (Q) Dorothy [...]?
    (A) In the periods just before this, there were the closer activities in expression. Close relationships, and may work out well together.

42. (Q) Please explain from a spiritual angle my extreme sensitiveness and depletion from cold?
    (A) Sensitiveness in the application of self in spiritual things through various periods, the sojourns in the earth as well as the interims between these. In instances when the entity becomes confused or confounded, when there is the approaching certain developments of individuals, these come as "flashes". Well to study if you know where you are going. Keep the body-mind spiritual.
43. (Q) My teaching seems only a partial fulfillment. How may I make full use of ability?
    (A) As indicated, in applying self, know that while each activity in the physical, mental and spiritual, is a part of the expression, they become a great whole in their purpose and application.

BACKGROUND

1. 9/30/43 [3328]'s letter:
   Questions for Life Reading
   I wish to be clear that I do not mean to mix life and health readings. At present I have nearly recovered my full strength after a major operation. Until I do get back my maximum strength, I thought it unwise to have a physical reading, as I'm still under the doctor's care. If the life-reading locates my lack of ability for strenuous or even full-time moderate work as a physical problem yet unsolved, I should probably have a health-reading later. At present I want to know whether the trouble with my life is physical, karmic, or in my lack of vision.
   I seem to have various abilities which I've not been able to use, for some time back, due to my own health, more recently to my mother's condition [See mother's 3097-1 in 7/43]. Is there a karmic reason for this, am I following a necessary path; or is there some way in which I can change conditions, to the benefit of all, that I do not see? In other words, is there some more I can make, either actual or in the use of abilities, that would give me more scope, while yet giving the same degree of comfort to my mother?

   I have at times suspected, or been told of karmic connections with certain people and conditions. I will list them indiscriminately in the hope that you may locate something in some cases...
   General Questions.
   Have you in your files data giving the cause of the following?
   Cancer Circulatory diseases Lack of BALANCE in endocrine system, not where there is thyroid excess of defect, but an unbalanced metabolism wherein the thyroid over acts on too slight stimulus, but then swings the other way, so that the basal test is on the low side. A noted surgeon for thyroid told me that medicine simply doesn't know the answer here. Sclerosis of the spinal cord. Fibroid tumors, in otherwise apparently healthy women, both those who have, & have not, children. Appendicitis. Allergies.
   Rudolf Steiner and Anthroposophical Medicine claim they have the causes in maladjustments of the four human bodies: physical, etheric, astral, & ego. They explain different maladjustments related to the spiritual life of the individual. At least they claim knowledge in regard to some of the above, notably cancer. Their remedies are held to work on all bodies, not merely the physical. Steiner says in "Initiate Consciousness" that circulatory diseases can only be reached through the spiritual life of the individual.
   What do you get in agreement or disagreement with the above? What have you received about the validity of the claims of numerology?
