..., Conn.
Dear Mrs. Cayce:-
I still feel near the top of the Mount of Transfiguration
for, surely, that is where we were last week. Indeed I
appreciate the great privilege of going There with you all.
While in your home I had no desire to say Good Morning or
Good Evening for just to pass-the-time-of-day with you meant
too little - I had to have a heart-to-heart talk or nothing.
Perhaps some day we can have that talk for I'm praying for
the way to open that I may join your Group at the Beach. If
there is a work there that I can do, God will send me.
A friend whose husband is a teacher at Washington & Lee - Dr.
R. F. Bradley - wrote that Mr. Sugrue lived just across the
street from her last winter and she had many talks with him.
You probably know that the Book is on the Required Reading
list in the Psychology Dept. She says that the Pre-Medical
students are puzzled, incredulous, indignant or up-in-arms.
The friend here in ... who loaned me the book has now sent
it on to Dr. [Hornell] Hart of Duke University. He has long
been interested in the Occult sciences but had not read the
Book [GD's note: Years later Dr. Hornell Hart lectured in
Va. Beach at an A.R.E. Conference].
Mrs. [
3357] took me home with her on ... for two days, and I
left her reading the Book. She was especially interested in
meeting "Aunt Harriet" in its pages.
In love and gratitude, I am
Sincerely yours, [

Dear Gladys:-
Yes, I simply cannot be so formal as to say, "Miss Davis" for
surely I have known you intimately through the past eons of
time. As Mrs. [
3357] expects me to be with her on the 13th,
will you please send my Reading in the same envelope with
hers. She is enclosing a Special Delivery stamp, for we are
hoping to get them on Sunday the 14th - a grand way to spend
that Sunday afternoon, reading each other's life-histories.
[
3351] said that you might send us several extra copies. If
this is correct, we would appreciate it and gladly pay the
extra charge. Please enclose the bill for this amount.
Now, Gladys, I want to give permission for my Life Reading
on Nov. 13. A.M. to be used for the office record or in any
way Mr. Cayce or you think best, PROVIDED there is anything
of interest in it. So, keep a copy for the Library if it
is at all informative regarding history or the spiritual
development of a woman.
Probably there is much in it for me to regret and be ashamed
of, but if I have worked out of any errors then why spend
time in regret?
With all good wishes for you, I am
Sincerely your friend, [
