This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 15th day of November, 1943, in accordance with request made by the self - Dr. [3360], Associate Member of the Ass'n for Research and Enlightenment, Inc.

TEXT

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [3360].
3. As we find there are disturbances that prevent at times the proper functioning in the physical forces of this body.
4. These have to do with the supply of energies to the central nerves and blood supply of the body. Thus, what might be called the extremes in these give the greater distress - the heart, the kidneys or an irregularity in the heart and a disturbance in prostate and the kidney areas.
5. These as we find are the sources of the disorder as to their reflexes through the body, while the real distresses arise from the nerve and blood circulation through these particular areas - heart, lungs, liver, kidneys. These are the central organisms that are to coordinate together. These with the digestive force find disturbance between the sympathetic and solar plexus, or the central nervous force. Thus these irregularities.
6. There is not an organic heart disorder. The irregularity is produced by a disturbance in the colon area, and this reflexing to the sympathetic reflexes is cut off by the pressures in those areas between the 7th, 8th, 9th dorsal to the areas in the caecum and between the jejunum and the colon area. These are the sources of the disorder.
7. We would keep up the eliminations not by the purgatives but by laxatives taken occasionally; these altered, one time vegetable, the next time mineral, and so on. Change the type; that is, at times use the mineral laxative of the Salts basis and at other times the combinations of such natures that react in the digestive forces; and at times the vegetable laxative should be of the fruit nature and at times of the senna base - such as Caldwell's Syrup of Pepsin or California Syrup of Figs, or the pie plant or rhubarb. These various laxatives should be alternated, with at times colonic irrigations.
8. Use the low electrical vibrations of the diathermy, with the Radio-Active Appliance. Make the attachments to the extremities to equalize the circulation, in the form in which the magnet builds up into one portion, discharging through the central nervous force to the other extremity. Keep the attachment plates very clean. Attach one to the right wrist, the other to the left ankle, and rotate these from day to day. Use the Appliance for one hour each day.
9. Do have the colonics combined with the eliminants to be taken and these will bring the conditions in the body much nearer to normal influences.
10. Keep the diet well balanced. Such combinations as macaroni and cheese, white breads, corn or rice or such starches as these, should never be taken at the same meal. Any one may be taken in moderation, but no two of these at the same meal. Do have plenty of liquids, the juices of all fruits and vegetables, and we will make for better conditions with this body.

12. (Q) What causes throat irritation?
    (A) This is still a part of the circulation to the sympathetics and the cerebrospinal system's reaction. This is reflex and not a direct condition.
13. (Q) Give advice regarding the functioning of the stomach and liver.
    (A) This is combined with the very conditions we have been describing, respecting assimilations and the needs for purifying the body, that there may be the proper gastric flow through the system.
14. (Q) How may I use spiritual forces for improving or ridding diseased conditions of the body?
    (A) If used in self, it is by application of the tenets of spiritual truths to others. If used for others, it may be done by tenets and by the laying on of hands in the manner attempting to produce or carry vibrations through the body. Though the body forces are low at times, if the Radio-Active Appliance is used daily, there will be plenty of strength in the magnetic forces that may be made to pass through the body, through the area where there is congestion or any form of such physical disturbance.
15. (Q) How may I best use the dry cell battery?
    (A) By putting it on and letting it stay on for one hour each day, keeping the attachments in the correct way and manner. As indicated, it will just put the body to sleep - producing attunement and causing peaceful vibrations. Do use this period, when it is on to meditate and pray. And we will find the whole body vibrating to health.
16. (Q) What means should be adopted for equalizing overacid conditions that seem to exist which cause irritation to the eliminating channels?
    (A) It has been indicated how the eliminating channels should be stimulated, for the time being, by an overaction in eliminants and not by the constant taking of any one of any one thing that causes great strain or irritation, whether in production of excess alkalinity or excess acid. For, either of these causes distress to the body and is weakening to the muscular forces in the extremities.
17. (Q) What foods should be stressed and what foods avoided in the diet?
    (A) Just as indicated.
18. (Q) Is there any operation indicated to keep the body functioning properly?
    (A) Not in the present.
