This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 23rd day of November, 1943, in accordance with request made by the self - Mrs. [3377], new Associate Member of the Ass'n for Research and Enlightenment, Inc., recommended by Miss [993].

TEXT

1. GC: You will give the relations of this entity and the universe, and the universal forces; giving the conditions which are as personalities, latent and exhibited in the present life; also the former appearances in the earth plane, giving time, place and the name, and that in each life which built or retarded the development for the entity; giving the abilities of the present entity, that to which it may attain, and how. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the records here of that entity now known as or called [3377].
3. In giving the interpretation of the records as we find them here, there is much from which to choose. These we choose with the desire and purpose that this information may be a helpful experience for this entity; enabling the entity to better fulfil those purposes for which it entered this sojourn.
4. In the beginning, we would give what might be said to be the seal of life for this entity. For this entity is among those that chose definite activities in the Egyptian experience, when there were those activities there for reestablishing the relationship of Creative Forces (or God) to the relationships of man. The entity was among those in the Temple Beautiful, aiding those that were dedicating their lives to the activity chosen; not only in vocation but in activities through the body and mind. Hence the seal would come very close to that indicated for the entity in that experience:
5. In the center of a plaque or card, about fourteen inches square, make a circle about twelve to thirteen inches. This would be made in many circles, down to a point in the center. Then across each side of this connect with a vine, that would blossom upon either side right and left, at the top.
6. Upon this sign or vine put the honey bee; one on either side, one on wing as toward the center - indicating the varied cycles through which individuals passed, as well as how each activity in an experience - as each life in its activity - is associated or connected one with the other.
7. The bee represents the worker, either of body, mind or soul of the individual entity. They each have their attributes and their experience in same, yet one - even as the manifestations in the material experience - Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
8. This should mean much to the entity, as it analyzes same in that which will be given for its activities, its abilities in the earth.
9. We would minimize the faults, we would magnify the virtues. This should be the policy, the purpose of the entity in its dealings with its fellow man. For as has been indicated in that the body would emulate in the earth "Father, forgive as I forgive." Thus as the entity applies this in the experience and in its dealings with the fellow man, there is the application of that He so oft gave, "As ye do it to the least of my little ones, ye do it unto Me." These should be, then, the tendons, the sinew of the spirit through and in which the entity would apply itself in its efforts to bring help to others, not by might or strength but through the spirit of truth as may be manifested in a word, in a movement, in a smile.
10. As to the urges latent and manifested for this entity, these are not according to the ordinary astrological terms. For as the entity finds itself in this particular realm a part of this universe and the universal consciousness, there are those consciousnesses also in Mercury, Mars, Jupiter, Venus, Saturn and Uranus, Neptune - yes, even in the spheres through which the sun and the moon are active. For these were given to the souls of men for their use, not men given to the world for its use. For the injunction is to multiply and to conquer and to subdue and to be aware; not as for selfish motives but to the glory of the Creative Forces, God. So with that same spirit and purpose in which all nature, yea all the universe, declares the glory of God. Can ye as an entity dare to do less?
11. In the urges we find that Mercury, Jupiter, Venus and Saturn become portions of the entity's consciousness.
12. In Mercury we find the high mental abilities of the entity, the abilities to reason.
13. We find in Jupiter the universal consciousness - the seeking for the awareness of the consciousness of the influence from without as well as those that respond to the realms of consciousness within.
14. In Venus we find the home loving influences, the beauty of the home, the beauty of companionship, the beauty of music, of prayer, of those things that have to do with the realm of the soul and spirit as well as of mind. Thus the entity has had in its experience dreams, visions of those things that are to be, of those things that have been in the experience. Thus we find that the entity is intuitive.
15. In Saturn has come the changes, and these have been of varied natures; sometimes troubling, sometimes aiding in the activities.
16. As to the appearances in the earth, not all may be indicated, but these we choose or give that ye may know as to how the many circles apply that we will indicate for the seal, to be put within the outer circle of black.
17. The next circle would be that to indicate the experience just before this, which would be in another color. All of these circles would be in varied colors, so that even the green vine with the white flower or the honeysuckle would be combined to make the music of the spheres.
18. For in the experience before this the entity was in the land of the present nativity, in those periods when there were the early settlings in the areas of Jamestown. Hence Jamestown and Williamsburg produce a peculiar feeling or have a peculiar meaning to the entity, sometimes restful, sometimes as very sacred places. Go to the place where the old fort was once built in Jamestown and listen to thine own voice there raised, as ye would, on the August moon, as ye did in those periods that seem so long ago and yet in the experience that ye may have there it was as but yesterday.
19. There the entity withstood many of the hardships of those frontier days, finding in those periods of worship that which answered within.
20. From that experience, as Clara McLeland, the entity finds an answering in the helping of those that are unfortunate, those that are weak in body, those that are seeking the way. These answer to something within the entity. Cultivate that. Not so much an organized effort as personal, and it will come to mean much more to thee. Not that we would dissuade the entity from organized effort, but this should be personal for the entity if it would come to mean much in the experience.
21. So, this circle would be purple.
22. Before that the entity was in the land when the Master walked in the earth, and during those periods just following same. The entity was among those of Laodicea that came to know of those activities in the periods of the Master's ministrations through the utmost portions of the country. The entity came in contact with those teachings at Jericho, and when there were those great throngs, in the streets when Zaccheus was called from the tree, the entity was among those that ministered at that feast made by Zaccheus for the Master and His Disciples.
23. Thus groups of certain kinds have meant much to the entity, and especially when there is the breaking of bread, or where there are those that would speak and counsel together at such periods of activity.
24. This circle make green. These circles should be of sufficient width to indicate activities of the entity.
25. The name then was Cerecea. The entity gained. For all those activities throughout the periods were in relationships with the varied churches that were established later. Yet the entity did more in the personal labors and work.
26. Before that the entity was in the Indian land, when there were those activities between those the hill country and the lowlands - and when there were the exclamations over the teachers that came down from the hill country.
27. The entity then accepted those teachings that brought the various groups into segregated activities.
28. These have meant and do mean questionings to the entity. As those that are dedicated in special groups or special services have their own peculiar meaning to the entity. For there the entity as Lameran, had those experiences that brought questionings in the present experience. While there are interests in those various activities, that proclaimed by the Master on the feast day remains foremost - and may it ever do so. Yet the purposes are one, though the experience in the segregated groups brought disillusionments individually. And these are the same that cause questionings in the mind of the entity in the present.
29. Before that the entity was in the Egyptian land. Here much might be said as to those experiences of the entity in relationships to the activities in the Temple Beautiful. For the entity was among those in the offices or stations from whom individuals took their initiations. Or, as would be termed in the present, the entity was among those giving examinations to those who had studied or ministered there.
30. The entity gained throughout those activities. Thus the circle here should be towards the center, but gray-white in its color - while the center itself should be deep violet.
31. As to the experiences in the present, that to which the entity may attain and how:
32. First analyze self and self's purpose in the earth. Know that each soul, each entity, has access to the throne of grace and mercy, even as ye had in the experience at the feast given by Zaccheus for the Master. This meant much to the entity.
33. Then study to show thyself approved unto that ye have determined in thy mind; keeping self unspotted from condemnation of others, and walking in the way that ye know is not condemning any other.
34. Do build the home as the basis, as ye did in Egypt as ye sought in India and were frustrated, as ye experienced in Palestine, and as ye sought in the experience before this.
35. Let this law of love be ever before thee, and let thy prayer oft be, even as ye raised thy voice in Jamestown:
    LORD OF LIGHT AND MERCY! BE THOU EVER NEAR TO DIRECT THE WAY, THE FOOTSTEPS OF THY SERVANT WHO SEEKS TO BE EVER A CHANNEL OF BLESSINGS TO OTHERS.

37. (Q) What work am I best fitted for to help in bringing in the Kingdom on earth?
    (A) That as indicated, in helping, in contributing to the welfare of those unfortunate in mind, in body, in spirit. Let thy life be a teaching life. Let thy experiences be helpful in the words and activities. Let thy physical being ever be as a blessing to all.
38. (Q) Would appreciate any advice or counsel concerning my work as a Gray Lady in the Red Cross?
    (A) Little may be added to that which has already been indicated here. These are in the directions that ye find answering most; not so much for thee as to organization only but let the personal self be given, that the organization is better spoken of.
39. (Q) What could I do to bring closer harmony and love between my present husband, [...] and my son, [...] and what causes this friction?
    (A) The experiences in other sojourns. As for self, be lovingly indifferent to each as to their relationships; sowing the seeds of harmony and leaving the results to God. For not of thyself may ye overcome, but in their own experiences must such be met.
40. (Q) How may I help my husband best work out his business problems, which seem to upset him mentally and physically? Would appreciate any advice.
    (A) So live in the day, in the labors of the day - that is, the husband - as to be ever acceptable to Him. Persuade him to take God in partnership with himself.
41. (Q) Have I ever been associated with the following in previous incarnations, and if so when, where and how? my husband, [...].
    (A) In the experience before this, very good friends, but not in the same relationship as in the present. In Egypt, very closely associated and worked together as companions.
42. (Q) My son, [...].
    (A) In Egypt were the associations that caused disputations. There were experiences in Palestine that were good.
43. (Q) My grandson, [...]. [2/13/68 Her grandson visited A.R.E. and asked to read her Life Rdg.]
    (A) The son in the Palestine experience, and thus very near to the entity. And you will guide him very well if ye keep that same faith which then prompted thee.
44. (Q) My son's wife, [...]. [2/03/77 Her son's wife requested a copy of 3377-1.]
    (A) Here we find the association in Egypt not too good, the association in India much better.

    (A) Acquaintance, and associations in the Palestine experience.
    Keep those things that have been indicated. Study thy seal oft. Know that what we speak today we must face tomorrow.
