This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 1st day of December, 1943, in accordance with request made by the self - Mr. [3381], new Associate Member of the Ass'n for Research and Enlightenment, Inc., recommended by article in Coronet.

Present: Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. [3381] and Harmon Bro.

TEXT

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [3381].
3. As we find, there are disturbances. Some of these are very definite in their nature. Some have been of long standing. We find that these have to do with those conditions that have existed from an injury to the spinal column itself, and the effects that this unbalancing of the chemical forces has produced - with the inflammation that is produced in the segments in the spinal area.
4. These produce pressures upon nerves, or the inflammation produces effects in the activity of organs through the body.
5. Then, these are the conditions as we find them in this body:
6. In the blood supply there is indicated the character of inflammation carried in the blood stream. As yet there is sufficient leucocytes in the system to cut this off, yet not sufficient to build up entirely a blocking off in the areas of the lower portion of the 8th and 10th dorsals.
7. Hence the aching that is caused across the back, and the inflammation - combined with an infection which has existed in the organs of the pelvis - causes irritations in the area of the bladder and the kidneys. There is not an organic kidney disorder. At times there are those tendencies for pus to form, but - as indicated - there is still sufficient of the leucocytes to block these off. Thus the painful periods at times at the activity of the bladder and the urine. These cause disturbances to the body at times, especially if there is the attempt for activities of long standing on the feet or the use of the feet and arms in connection with activities. For these bring the muscles and the nerves into play along the areas of the 8th and 9th dorsal, or a portion of the 8th and 10th dorsal; bringing the muscular forces into activity, of course, in the center where the circulation is carried from the solar plexus through the body.
8. These, of course, cause pressures upon the nerve forces. To be sure, as indicated by reflexes, these are causing irritations to organs of the body; yet no organic disorders - rather functional disorders, by inflammation in structural portions of the body.
9. In making applications for helpful forces, - there will be required quite a period of quiet for the body - at least three weeks.
10. Begin applying for an hour each day the Glyco-Thymoline Packs across the back, from the 12th dorsal to the 6th and 7th dorsal. Use three to four thicknesses of cotton cloth saturated in Glyco-Thymoline, wrung out but saturated. Also apply these Packs in the area of the pubic center in the frontal portion of the body, to take inflammation from the bladder.
11. Also use an injection of a weakened solution of Atomidine for the penis. Use a penis syringe, with one drop of Atomidine to ten drops of Distilled Water - or have a solution made at the drug store in these proportions - making up about three to four ounces. For, there should be used in the penis syringe at least two ounces of this, injected in the bladder area to destroy infection forces there. Use these injections every other day. Fill the bladder; not so as to cause too great a quantity but that it may be eliminated again and cure those infectious forces that are a part of the effect produced from the injury received in the back.
12. Following the application of the Glyco-Thymoline Packs each day, there should be given the body a thorough massage using this combination of oils; adding these in the order named:

    Nujol.................................6 ounces,
Olive Oil.............................1 ounce,
Oil of Mustard (not the cleared oil
but the Oil of Mustard)...........2 minims,
Oil of Sassafras Root.................1 ounce,
Peanut Oil............................4 ounces.

    Use this to massage the whole area from between the shoulders to the end of the spine - also the limbs and the feet.
13. Do these - using the Glyco-Thymoline Packs daily, followed by the oil massage, and give the penis douche every other day with the Atomidine solution - keeping quiet for about three weeks, and the body should find real relief.

15. (Q) What can be done to strengthen arches?
    (A) The massage with the oils will be helpful. Also an exercise each day of a certain character would be well, of morning before the shoes are put on - before the oil massage is given, of course, but do this daily: Stand flat on the floor and spring on the toes, rising gently and springing.
16. (Q) What can be done for pulling of lower lip?
    (A) This will correct itself, if the corrections are made in the body-forces.
17. (Q) Are headaches also part of this condition?
    (A) This is part of the digestive system. Keep the eliminations somewhat better. Change the diet, not too much of meat but more of raw vegetables.
18. (Q) Should anything be taken for eliminations?
    (A) Correct better by the diet than by taking eliminants, when possible. If not possible to correct otherwise, take an eliminant but alter between one time a vegetable laxative and the next time a mineral eliminant. But these will be bettered if a great deal of the raw vegetables are used and not so much of meats, but do eat fish, fowl and lamb occasionally - but don't fry it!
19. (Q) What caused sensation in left abdomen of being cut with knife?
    (A) The pain through the areas as indicated along the urethra.
20. (Q) Should the massage be given by an osteopath?
    (A) Not unless you want to spend a lot of money! Let your wife do it - she'll do it a lot better than the osteopath will!

   Been having trouble for ten years...had to get a support for back...even tried wearing a woman's corset...clinic in Ann Arbor Michigan told him nothing wrong and sent him thru psychological clinic...went to osteopath for a year without success...went to German doctor for bee venom treatment, increased to ten shots - called wife and told her patient wasn't sick...at Richards Sanitarium had hydrotherapy and felt better for the day, also electric shock treatments on back...had colonic irrigations, which hurt more than helped...confusion of diets from all doctors...doctor from Bionic Clinic in Findlay said he was burnt up with acid and told him not to eat anything with acid in it...another doctor said protruding cartilage discs between vertebrae, requiring operation...patient blames it on strain of working in tileyard, lifting heavy stuff in all kinds of weather...
