This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 1st day of December, 1943, in accordance with request made by the self - Mrs. [3382], new Associate Member of the Ass'n for Research and Enlightenment, Inc.

TEXT

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them.
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here. Much might be said as to the sources or causes. But in the physical application - for there is being held those spiritual helps that need not so much the reliance upon others but the application in self of just being patient, kind, gentle, and even with the pain don't grumble. For even though He were the Son yet He learned obedience through the things which He suffered.
3. Here in the physical body, because of chemical changes, we have the lack of those vital energies to carry on circulation through extremities. This is partially of a multiple sclerosis, partially a subluxation existing in the lumbar and sacral areas, causing this drawing of the limbs about the knees and along the inside of the thighs.
4. We find that these may be materially aided, or relief brought. As to whether these will be entirely eliminated will depend upon the persistency and consistency with which these applications may be made.
5. These are not arthritic, though the inflammation at times in the nerves of the extremities would lead one to think so, for there is the tendency toward that character of reaction - the pains across the back, the inactivity and the overactivity of the kidneys giving distresses at times.
6. If there will be the application of these as we will suggest, being very persistent, we find that there may be brought help. Though there will not be felt any material change in the beginning, as the applications are kept up we find that changes will come.
7. For thirty minutes each day we would use the Wet Cell Appliance carrying vibratorially one day the Gold Solution, the next day the Atomidine Solution, and the next day the Silver Solution.
8. Keep the attachment plates very clean, cleansing them with emery or sandpaper each time when taken off and each time before applying. Do keep all connections properly. Disconnect from the Appliance when not in use. Take the connections out of the Solution when not in use, and connect them twenty minutes before they are to be applied to the body each day. Do not mix or cross the connections; that is, do not use in the Gold Solution the connection that should go into the Atomidine or into the Silver Solution. For this would cause conditions that would destroy the effectiveness of either Solution.
9. The Charging Solution for this body should be, to the gallon and a half of distilled water:

   Copper Sulfate.....................2 pounds,
Sulfuric Acid, C.P.............1 1/4 ounces,
Zinc...............................5 drams,
Willow Charcoal..................1/2 pound.

   When the connections are to be made, use the Gold Solution first - in the proportions of one grain Chloride of Gold Sodium to each ounce of distilled water. The next day use the Atomidine Solution, an ounce in five ounces of distilled water. The next day use the Silver Solution, an ounce of a 2% Solution and sufficient distilled water and grain alcohol to make six ounces.
10. These Solutions should be changed every thirty days.
11. Also the Charging Solution for the Appliance should be renewed every thirty days.
12. Keep the anodes or plates clean. Do keep the Solutions in their proper order, and cover them when not in use.
13. Each time the large plate should be attached to the umbilical and lacteal duct plexus - that is, the connection through which the Solution passes vibratorially to the body - which on this body, will be four fingers to the right from the navel center and three fingers up from that point.
14. When using the Gold Solution, attach the small plate to the 4th lumbar.
15. The next day, when using the Atomidine, attach the small plate to the 9th dorsal.
16. The 3rd day, when using the Silver Solution, attach the small plate to the knees, inside of the knee - at one period, when the Silver Solution is used to the left knee; the next period when it is used, to the right knee. These are for the connections that make for impulses to the cords of the locomotory centers, and the activities to the limbs.
17. The Appliance is to be used each day for thirty minutes, one day carrying the Gold Solution, the next day the Atomidine Solution, the next day the Silver Solution, and so on.
18. Each day following the use of the Appliance, give the body a massage over the whole lower area; that is, from the diaphragm - both on the spine and in the front. Go down toward the feet, moving away from the body. This should be then along the spine, across the abdomen, down either side of the body, down the limbs and to the feet. When massaging the feet, come up on the inside to the knees and to the thighs. Use this combination of oils:

    Olive Oil..........................6 ounces,
Peanut Oil.........................4 ounces,
Oil of Sassafras.................1/2 ounce
Oil of Pine Needles................1 ounce,
Lanolin (liquefied)..............1/2 ounce.

    These will tend to separate but shake them together and pour what is to be used each time into an open saucer. Don't pour it out of the saucer back into the bottle or the container in which it is kept.
19. In the diet, keep a great deal of raw vegetables; as celery and lettuce and carrots. All of these may be eaten raw; mustard, watercress, all of those that may be eaten raw, and prepare these also with gelatin at periods. Again a salad may be made with oil or mayonnaise, however the body desires, but use these (some of these) almost every day - and all of them when practical.
20. Seafoods also would be well for the body.
21. Do these if we will make better conditions.
22. And do keep those mental attitudes as applicable within self.

24. (Q) What can be done for poor elimination?
    (A) These massages if they are done correctly over the abdominal area will aid in eliminations; as also will the diet, when the raw vegetables are given. When eliminations are very poor, apply Tartaric Acid over the abdomen; not too much of it, but a very thin layer moist on gauze.
    Do use colonic irrigations occasionally, for the sedentary conditions or the lack of activities naturally make for a settling in the colon, and poisons arise from same.
25. (Q) What can be done to relieve severe burning of bladder?
    (A) As these changes are made, these conditions should disappear; especially with the massages in this area and the lower portion of spine.
    Do these for this body if we will make the better conditions.

1. 9/07/43 Sister's letter: "...Has been ill and in failing health for past two years...doctors do not seem to understand her trouble...has been gradually failing since April, when doctors said she had the 'flu'...weighs 113 pounds, although 5'6"...little appetite, numbness of legs and uncertainty of step when walking..."
2. 9/22/43 Sister's letter: "...She was given a blood transfusion on September 19, and doctors report she has responded very favorably."
3. 10/20/43 Questions: What is the cause of numbness in hands, feet, legs? What can be done to relieve drawing across knees, thighs, abdomen? What is the cause and cure of uremic condition which seems to come on rather suddenly? What can be done for poor elimination? What can be done to relieve severe burning of bladder?

   "I am very grateful to have your reading as to my physical condition. It is a wonderful diagnosis, for you have given me hopes of relief if I do my part.
   "I shall do my utmost to follow your directions. I have sent to Mr. Godfrey for the Wet Cell Appliance and will inform you as to the results of the treatment and massage..."
2. 2/26/44 [3382]'s letter to EC:
   "This is my first report since receiving the reading given by you.
   "It was the last week in January before I received the Wet Cell Appliance, I got everything assembled and began using the Appliance on January 28. Grain alcohol cannot be bought in this state, so I have had to use a lower proof alcohol.
   "I have carefully followed your instructions with absolute confidence that I would be benefited and I am having favorable results. The numbness in hands and legs is about the same. The swelling in my legs has reduced and I have better use of my feet than for many months. I could not obtain a professional masseur to come to the home so my daughter, a student in physical education, does the best she can with the massage. My elimination is improving and I am gaining in weight and strength. I think this splendid results from four weeks treatment. I am very grateful for this improvement.

3. 6/06/44 Sister's letter applying for readings:
   "I certainly have been and am thrilled at the improvement being made by my sister under EC's treatment."
4. 9/10/44 Mrs. [3382] wrote re her daughter's appointment for a Life reading.
