TEXT

1. GC: You will give the relations of this entity and the universe, and the universal forces; giving the conditions which are as personalities, latent and exhibited in the present life; also the former appearances in the earth plane, giving the development for the entity; giving the abilities of the present entity, that to which it may attain, and how. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the records here of that entity now known as or called [3384].
3. Yes, in analyzing the urges which are latent and manifested in the personalities of the present entity, we find quite a bit of confusion. For the activities and the attempts of the study of the entity have been and are at variance with the natural tend or trend of the entity.
4. For the entity is one rather inclined to be quiet, easy, meditative, one who would gain much more by the reading, writing and studying of experiments of others, or of books or of things which pertain to mental processes, than things or mechanical activities.
5. True, with the ability of the mind, the mechanical things things can be made a part of the life, but it will be continually fitting a round peg into a square hole or a square peg into a round hole. These will never make for reaching the highest for which the entity is capable, or that the capabilities of the body indicate, in dealing with things in the concrete. Things in the abstract, yes - conditions in the abstract, - yes - books, articles, reviews of plays, the reviews of books - these are the activities of the entity, as indicated from the activities in the earth, as well as the periods of consciousness in other realms than purely material consciousness.
6. For as has been indicated, the entity while being in the position of one who knows, doesn't always want the floor to tell somebody else about it! But rather in writing, in counseling, in speaking with others to help them, and in that manner aid the many rather than the few.
7. As to the appearances in the earth, these have been quite varied but these are given as the pattern:
8. Before this we find the entity was in the land of the present nativity during those periods when the activities in the land were for the replenishing and rebuilding, following the destruction of what was then Dearborn.
9. The entity made for the mental processes, as making agreements with other groups through the land.
10. And thus activities as an educator, as an instructor, as a peacemaker, are parts of the consciousness of the entity; working with others, working for others, being as a confidant, being in the position of having confidence in others is the desire.
11. The name then was Alan Ellison. In the experience the entity gained, and in the present it makes for quiet; that reserve, that student, that desire for knowledge but to the benefit of others, which gives the abilities, but sometimes others take advantage of the entity. For it believes or has the confidence. To be sure, one must have confidence in others if there will be had confidence in self, but do not be "done" by others nor attempt to "do" others, because of thy knowledge.
12. But in patience, when ye have been mistreated, hold no grudge. For when they have taken advantage, there will come the opportunity for thee to take advantage, don't do it! As ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them. Let this be thy motto, let this be thy faith, thy life experience through this sojourn.
13. Before that we find the entity was in the Roman land, when there had been the gatherings of the data from many lands by those who had been sent, in the completing of this great empire, or the empire building. And we find the entity was among those who compiled much of these, and many of the counsels given to individuals who were in authority in other lands came from the entity then, in the name of Drucila.
14. In the experience the entity gained much which may be applied in the present, and through this present period, for the greater service the entity may render to its fellow man and to its own peoples; as to the records which are made in the many lands in the various climes, and the effect that individual groups have in changing the whole pattern of the world.
15. Study these well. For, when saw the savage of Borneo those peoples who prayed, or as people who swore, or as people who swore and prayed in the same day? When saw those peoples in the African lands changed by the word of a prayer, or by those who showed kindness to those who had mistreated them?
16. These are intangible, yes, yet as the entity sees, feels, knows and experienced as Drucila, it is what changes the world.
17. Thinking adds not one whit to thy stature materially, but mentally, spiritually, it may produce the revolution which brings peace and harmony into the world.
18. Before that we find the entity was in the Egyptian land when there were preparations of individuals for activities in others lands. Then entity was among those who were prepared in the Temple Beautiful for those activities in what is now Yucatan.
19. There the entity may find much which would appear as a part of its own experience, just as it may among the peoples in the southern portion of this land, or the Indians who hold to the symbols of the ancients.
20. The entity may gain much in study of custom which may apply it in its own experience.
21. The name then was Deu-Elan.
22. As to the abilities of the entity, then, that to which it may attain and how!
23. As indicated, analyze self, know thy relationships to thy Maker, then study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman not ashamed, rightly dividing the words of truth; condemning none, keeping self unspotted from the world.
24. We are through for the present.

BACKGROUND

1. See 3384-1 and 3384-2 re his health, severe tremor which prevents him from following his chosen profession.

REPORTS

1. 8/09/59 Letter from [3384]'s sister [who also had a reading for her stepson [5014]]: "Would you please at your convenience send me a copy of each of my brother's readings. I should like to study them again. He had them in early '44. He was recently here, and his tremor is very bad, and I hope to convince him to return (after 14 years leave-taking from it) to his readings' treatment and use of the Radio-Active Appliance. He had been using it for just 18 months when he was in a serious air crash (in '45) and had a 9 mos. period of convalescence. Prior to that he was reporting he felt he was beginning to see slight improvement. Well, the interruption by the air crash plus Mr. Cayce's death during his months of convalescence seemed to have knocked out of him his previous faith and interest in the readings' treatment. Now, after 14 years, the tremor is decidedly worse, and as any number of doctors and clinics in the meantime have been able to offer him no help, I am just in hopes I may be able to rekindle his interest and faith."
2. 8/17/59 Thermofax copies of the readings were sent to her, with the statement that on 11/24/54 copies had been sent to him via request of his mother, Mrs. [5009].
3. 1/02/73 Mr. [3384]'s sister wrote: "Recently I learned from my sister-in-law that the Life Reading of my brother's [3384], requested by our mother in 1944, she never showed to him! Both he and his wife would like to see a copy of it."
4. 2/09/73 GD's note: Today I sent a copy of 3384-3 to them at the Ariz. address given by his sister.
5. 11/30/80 Letter from [3384]'s sister: "My brother (pushing 70) has had an 'intention' tremor of the hands since he was 12. It was barely perceptible then but progressed through time. It was 1944 I heard of Edgar Cayce and it was then my brother [3384] received a reading prescribing the radio active appliance and meditations on Deut. 30, and St. John 14, 15, 16, 17. My brother's wife reported improvement but in August, 1945, he was in a plane accident, was broken from his left ankle all up to his left shoulder, and was laid up many months and NEVER would consider returning to his reading. His wife believed in it thoroughly, but told me he really didn't. He's a FINE man but has never been drawn to spiritual interests. Today, the tremor is such that he shakes all up his arms, and has great difficulty eating. Can't write except to sign his name in huge, shaky letters. Edgar Cayce said there was an incoordination between central and sympathetic nervous systems..."
