TEXT

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes - upstairs. We have the body here, [3390].
3. As we find, there are disturbing conditions that prevent the better physical reactions in this body. We find that these arise from the effects of conditions that have existed in the body, and then the lack of vital energies being added in their proper relationship to those things needed to stimulate normal coordination between sympathetic and cerebrospinal, the digestive and the distribution of the digested energies through the body. Thus the basis or sources of the conditions arise from conditions existent in the alimentary canal.
4. This begins with the lack of proper coordination between the alkalinity and the acids of the body, or the lack of the proper amount of acid in the duodenum and pyloric portion of stomach.
5. Then, through the alimentary canal we find effects of congestions that have been produced from the after effects of intestinal flu. Areas of the colon are very much in disorder by cakes of fecal forces in areas that continue to produce at periods irritations through the absorption of poisons into the system through the lymph, thus causing many of the reactions, weakness in the body, lack of vital blood supply, the desire to sleep at times, and the weaknesses that arise from the whole animation of body-forces. The will is good, the body has become weakened.
6. These are consuming in their nature; being an excess in alkalinity, though at times acid would predominate in the bladder. This would be well for the entity to test and to keep testing with litmus paper. Take tests for acids, testing the saliva, as well as the urine, so that it may be seen when the proper balances have been attained or gained in the body. If these will be added to the system in their proper relationships, we will bring much better conditions here for the body. Have prepared this compound:

A Fusion of Wild Ginseng..........2 ounces,
A Fusion of Wild Ginger.........1/2 ounce,
Elixir of Lactated Pepsin.....1 1/2 ounces.

The dosage of this would be a teaspoonful of morning after the meal, and of evening after the meal. Keep this up until we find negative forces in regard to the alkalinity and acidity, as shown in saliva and urine.
7. Also take Acigest. Take a teaspoonful in a glass of raw milk three evenings each week - in the beginning.
8. Also take Calcios at the noon meal three times each week, but not on the same days that the Acigest is taken. Spread thinly with Calcios a whole wheat cracker and eat it.
9. In the matter of the diet, keep well balanced in those foods that make for body building; keeping fish, fowl and lamb regularly. In the beginning do not take any leafy vegetables, but after there has been a better elimination of the disturbances throughout the alimentary canal we would begin to add the leafy vegetables.
10. Do have at least three or four colonic irrigations. Have these far apart, yes - but have them scientifically given, preferably by such as at Reilly's. Take this easy, else it would be very strenuous on the body. Do rest at least thirty minutes after each colonic has been given, before attempting to go out or go places or even to go home.
11. In the regular diet, include occasionally such drinks as Coca-Cola - but with plain water, not carbonated. These are needed to purify activities in kidneys and bladder.
12. Do these and we will make better conditions for this body.
13. Ready for questions.
14. (Q) What causes and will cure inflammatory and infectious skin and membrane conditions - with parched lips always swollen, feverish or peeling?
    (A) Just read what we have given. These are from the absorptions of poisons throughout the body. Do as outlined and we will bring better conditions for this body.
15. We are through for this time.

Two copies to Self - (one for Dr. H. J. Reilly, R.C.A. Bldg., 1250 6th Ave., N.Y.C., who is to give the colonics)
    Copy to Ass'n file
    Two Miss Goodall for indexing
(Calcios and Acigest are distributed by the Colloidal Health Products Corp., Attention: A. A. Nichoson, Greenvale, Long Island, New York.)

BACKGROUND

1. 11/30/43 Miss [3390]'s letter to EC:
Mr. Edgar Cayce, Association for Research & Enlightenment, Inc., Virginia Beach, Virginia
   Dear Mr. Cayce,
You are in my thoughts and prayers daily, and I am grateful for the opportunity of having seen and heard you at Steinway Hall in New York.
For your convenience, I write now to enclose and reiterate the questions to be asked at my Physical reading on the morning of December 9 from 10:30 to 11:30 E.W.T. For that precious hour, I shall be in the upstairs living room here in my own home, where my Mother and I shall be in deep concentration with profoundest prayer from our hearts.
May health and strength be granted you to carry on in your blessed work with your God-granted gift which is bringing hope and new life to the many who have known only despair and suffering, both physical and mental.
   Sincerely,
   QUESTIONS
   1. What causes and can be done to correct the functional digestive disturbances, which are painful or make me physically ill, with so variable a temperature? 2. What causes and can be done to correct the dysfunction of my sympathetic nervous system, with frequent angio-neurotic edema? 3. What causes and can be done to overcome the inflammatory and infectious skin conditions and the inflammatory membrane condition, - with parched lips that are always either swollen, feverish or peeling? 4. Why do my thighs throb in walking rapidly, with knees buckling under me after climbing stairs? 5. Why am I uncontrollably sleepy at times, in spite of adequate rest? 6. Why are my voluntary motions often slow? 7. Shall I ever be well or relieved from pain?

REPORTS

1. 1/12/44 She obtained a Physical Reading for Mother, Mrs. [3552].
2. 2/01/44 Miss [3390]'s letter to EC:
Mr. Edgar Cayce, Association for Research and Enlightenment, Inc., Virginia Beach, Va.
   Dear Mr. Cayce,
The contents of your Physical reading for me, (on Dec. 9, 1943), have been read most carefully and often. I regretted to find it so general and entirely omitting the "crux" of the physical condition I am trying to combat.
Since your reading brought no new hope or suggestions, (except for Calcios and Acigest), I do ask your very kind advice concerning some of the vital questions facing me, which I list herewith again:
1- What CAUSES and will RELAX the relentless spasms in my gastro-intestinal tract? 2- What CAUSES and will RELIEVE the spasms in my legs? 3- What CAUSES and will RELIEVE the angioneurotic edema? 4- What CAUSES and will RELIEVE the dysfunction of the sympathetic nervous system? 5- Is there any other abnormality or involvement other than the sympathetic nervous system?
Except for question #5, these were sent, as you requested, BEFORE my reading, but were NOT answered in it. Unfortunately, everything mentioned in those pages has been done in the past, - but without benefit.
Since I am completely discouraged and feel keenly that my reading was most incomplete, - (even the time interval considered "far apart" for the colonic irrigations was not specified), - I sincerely and prayerfully await your further suggestions or clarification.
3. 10/07/55 Elsie Sechrist's report: "We (Bill and I) knew and visited [3390] and her mother, [3552], with [3100]. [3390] was once [3100]'s girl friend. The last report we had was from [3100] to the effect that [3390] had lost all her teeth and hair and was totally bed-ridden. Bill says he believes they are dead now."
