This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 16th day of December, 1943, in accordance with request made by the self - [3408], new Associate Member of the Ass'n for Research and Enlightenment, Inc., recommended by Dr. & Mrs. F. Homer Curtiss.

TEXT

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Nevada - still cold! Sierra street - that's under the hill!
3. Yes, we have the body here.
4. As we find, there are many disturbing conditions with this body. The greater portion comes from conditions that have long existed in one manner or another - undernourishment in body, in purpose, in mind.
5. We find that there may be real aid to the body if these administrations will be made:
6. Each evening when ready to retire, have the areas from the base of the brain to the middle of the back - or to the 9th dorsal massaged thoroughly with cocoa butter, after first relaxing these areas with hot water packs or a hot sponge bath. Massage the cocoa butter into the spine and on either side of the spine all the body will absorb.
7. Then apply the Violet Ray (hand machine bulb applicator) for about a minute and a half. Don't just hurry through with this but apply it flat, not too strong in the beginning, but after the massage has been given. Let this come up to the back of the head and extend around, over the ear and the side of the face - not over the eyes but the side of the face, back of the head and around the ear and to the temple - but not over the eyes.
8. Then begin and take daily the vitamins and the added phosphorous and iron that will be found in KalDak. Take a level teaspoonful twice each day, dissolved in a little hot water and then the tumbler filled with milk.
9. In the diet, have those things that are body building; not just vegetables, but fish, fowl and lamb - not other types of meats, but these should be included in the diet once or twice or three times each week.
10. Do these, and we will bring better conditions for this body; we will find that the body will be able to resist colds, the body will build up generally, the eliminations will be improved and the eyes will be improved.

12. (Q) What is the cause of my eye trouble?
    (A) As might be indicated from that implied, the incoordination between or in the nerves and muscles in the upper dorsal and through the cervical areas that control the optic nerves.
13. (Q) Any further suggestions for physical or mental well-being?
    (A) Do these things, and keep the right mental attitude; that is, know that you are in the line of service to the Creative Force or God and that He will take care of thee.

   Our dear Brother Cayce:
   A dear young woman, one of our sincere students by the name of [3408] has need of the help of your healing Master. She has a double vision, and can scarcely see thru one eye. The Eye Specialists say she has scars on the retina of that eye from an early disease. I told her about your wonderful work, and she wants to know what your charges will be and whether you would allow her to pay in installments. She owes Doctors quite a sum now even tho they did not help her.
   It has been our privilege to lead her step by step to where she has surrendered to God. She feared to do this for years, but now she sees how much better God's plan for her is than her own small ideas were, and she is very happy in spite of her eyes. We should like so much to have her helped by this great One who comes thru you to bless mankind.
   Please put [3408]'s name down for your very next opening, and we can assure you that she will make good, for she is honorable.
   Doctor is not feeling the improvement that he did, and we are being very faithful. However, we shall continue faithfully, and hope for further instruction as soon as it is our turn to receive it. If the Great One wishes to impress us direct, we shall be most grateful.

   Dear Sirs:
   At present I am out of work and therefore cannot afford your membership fee so would like information regarding sponsored memberships. I prefer to pay my own way and would do so as soon as I was financially able.
   My nervous system as well as my physical body is greatly run down and even seems to get worse instead of better when I am using correct diet and taking vitamins and minerals.
   My left eye is very weak and does not coordinate with my right eye. I believe that it is this lack of coordination which causes a strain on my body
   This depleted physical condition causes me to lack enough energy to keep up in my days work. For this reason I do not seem able to do the work required of me by my employers and they therefore lost interest in keeping me.
   If you could tell me what I could do to change the condition, I know I could get work and hold it. Then I could pay my own way and also have energy left to tell others of the work and help them.

REPORTS

1. 3/07/44 [3408]'s ltr. to EC:
   ... St. Reno, Nevada
   Dear Mr. Cayce
   I wish to report on my case so far. I had a reading Dec. 16, 1943 at 3:30 EWT.
   It took me about two months to locate a violet ray machine and the KalDak so I have only had a complete treatment every night at 10 PM PWT for about one month.
   I notice some improvement in that I am using the left eye some. Of course they have not yet focused together so I see double. But the fact that I use the eye shows that there is some improvement.
   I am not yet able to pay for my membership as I am not working. I do want to pay for it as soon as I can.
   I am taking practice teaching and this is new to me and causes quite a nervous strain so perhaps that is slowing up my cure also.

2. 12/16/44 "We took a house two miles from ... It is not lighted by electricity so I cannot use the violet ray machine. As the moving and teaching upset our schedule, it was impossible to continue the treatments for the past few months. I desire to go back to them as soon as possible."
