Mr. Edgar Cayce

Dear Sir:
In a few days, Dec. 15th, I am to have my life reading. It
was suggested that I ask some questions. I would like to
submit the following.
1. In one way I have greatly enjoyed my work as a minister.
It has done things for me and brot me contacts which I would
have had in no other way. It has compelled me to do what I
did not care to do - study and meet people. All this has
been to the good.
On the otherhand it has been in many ways most trying.
Because I am a man of action rather than a man of ideas - and
yet as a minister I am compelled to function more in the
realm of ideas, I have found my vocation most trying at
times. The question therefore is: Is there perhaps some
other line of work which I COULD DO which would be just as
valuable, both for myself and others as this work and one
which I SHOULD DO? To me a vocation is not only a matter of
what can I do, but also of what should I do.
2. Would it be advisable for me to raise (produce and sell)
chinchillas as a life work. Would I be a success in it and
would life in that way be rewarding?
3. Where should I live to do my best work? In what climate?
In what sort of an environment? the city or country? Among
what kind of people?
4. How can I improve my relationship with my wife? Our
living together is not what it ought to be. There isn't
enough community of interest, love and good will. I am very
anxious to make it all it should be for the sake of the
children if nothing else. What is there in me that is
hindering in the relationship and what can I do about it?
5. How can I tap my unconscious resources? What is it that
blocks my recall of the past. My memory is very poor? Why
can I not recall? And how may it be improved?
6. My horoscope says I have a link with the mind of an
important forebearer whose attainments were notable. Who was
he and what do I get from him? and how can I utilize this
experience?
What I really want from my life reading is guidance in regard
to the totality of my life.
Thanking you for your kindness and eagerly awaiting your
reading, I am,
Very sincerely, [
