8/13/46 Mrs. Woodward's ltr. to [

Mrs. [
3416]
Dear Mrs. [
3416]
The Association for Research & Enlightenment is compiling the
information given in the readings on gems and stones for Mr.
Green, a gem collector, who is sponsoring this study. We
would like to make the report as complete as possible, so are
asking you to bring us up to date on your case.
Your reading said that the lapis lazuli, worn close to the
body would be well for the general health of the body. Have
you worn this stone and do you note that it affects or
improves your health in any way?
We will appreciate as exact information as you can give us.
Any details you can describe telling whether its effects are
stabilizing, or improve your general physical condition or
merely gives a feeling of 'well being' will be interesting
and helpful. Do you feel any vibratory or magnetizing
effect? Will you also tell us the length of time you have
worn the stone or when you wear it? Was the effect
noticeable immediately? Did this become more pronounced
after a time? Does the effect seem to increase and continue
to develop or gradually develop and remain constant? If you
can give any other details we will be most grateful?
As you know the names of individuals do not appear on any
material sent out from the Association. Names are still held
strictly confidential, only quotations from the readings are
used.
Since the time we can devote to this study is very limited
would you be good enough to send us a prompt reply? Please
accept our thanks now for this information? You will
probably see the results of this study in a bulletin later.
Very truly yours, Mary Ann Woodward

1/50 GD's note re. 3416-1, Par. 40-A:
Mrs. [

set for a necklace, by Mr. Paul, jeweler, who was very
interested - he said there was an old legend indicating that
a person wearing a lapis would never have thyroid trouble.
D. P. Paul Jewelers (HLC & GD remembered that a Mr. Paul of
D. P. Paul's used to come to Cayce Hospital to lectures, etc.
Jane Williams said she knew that Mr. Paul had a very old and
valuable book regarding rare gems and stones).
1/11/51 Report by GD: Wm. N. Petersen, who bought a lapis
ring on strength of EC's advice for [

sensitivity with it, stated he felt his nervous energy was
greatly balanced and equalized by or since wearing the lapis.
