GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering questions, as I ask them:
EC: We have those impressions - the body has just stepped out.
As we find, there are disturbances here. These are complications produced primarily from a jammed dorsal and lumbar.
These subluxations first caused an oversupply of energies to the bladder and kidneys, and caused the glands in the organs of pelvis to become irritated; produced swelling and irritations to eyes, face, neck and sometimes feet. These have upset the coordination of eliminations.
Thus we have periods when there are great quantities of gas forming through the alimentary canal. This has tended to make the cardiac portion of the stomach tilt downward. Hence the combinations for digestion of foods ofttimes act slowly.
Here, as we find, are the causes or the basis of the conditions with this body.
First we would have two or three three thorough hydrotherapy treatments, only to relax the body. These would not be Cabinet Sweats but rather let the body lie in water just a little bit above body-temperature, with Pine Oil in same, as a Bubble Bath. This would be followed by a needle shower with first hot and then cold water. Then wrap the body in a hot blanket for twenty to thirty minutes.
Then make the corrections, osteopathically, in the 4th, 3rd and 1st lumbars; in the 9th, 8th and 11th dorsals. Coordinate the 6th and 7th dorsals and the 3rd cervical with the corrections made.
We would have a series of eight to ten such treatments, rest from them for a period of ten days to two weeks, and then have another series - including the hydrotherapy applications of the nature indicated.
Also with the hydrotherapy we should cleanse the colon by the use of high colonics, at least ten days to twelve days apart, until there is no mucous indicated in the discharges from colon when the colonic is given. This should not require more than three or four of such treatments - the colonic irrigations.
Do these - be consistent, be persistent - and we should make corrections, and find much bettered conditions for this body.

(Q) Why does it take so long for food to leave the stomach?
(A) Because of the tipping of the stomach, as indicated, and this is to be changed by the osteopathic corrections and the effects produced through the alimentary canal by the irrigations to remove the fecal forces. These will bring better conditions.
The diet should not consist of too heavy foods throughout the periods of the treatments.
(Q) Is the heart organically sound?
(A) Organically sound, though functionally or sympathetically it quickens at times under the stress in the liver and kidney activity.
(Q) Is there a cause in any past experiences for the whole trouble?
(A) The accident!
(Q) Is there some life work I should be doing, to help this condition?
(A) Be doing the best you can, but have an ideal - spiritual, mental and physical. Work for and toward a universal ideal, rather than as to "how I may get by or succeed." Let the attitude be rather in that direction of asking self constantly, "How may I use the opportunities I have to the glory of God and to the honor of self?"

Dear Mr. Cayce:
I wrote for your book and after receiving your letter and blank will send my money for the reading and Membership to the Association in hopes you can give me a reading sooner than the first of the year.
I have been ill for the last eight years and so far have received no help from the doctors and the different hospitals that I have been in. I am confined to the bed most of the time. Have just had another spell - the doctors all say it is the heart. But I slipped on the wet steps and after that the trouble began. I never menstruated after that but went through the spells just the same. It doesn't seem to make any difference if I stay in bed and take their medicine. I will get a spell. I usually blote [bloat] up have pain in my side and of course the heart does bother some.
I have all the faith in the world in your great work. And I know thru you God will give me the help I need. I have studied Impersonal Life and Unity for several years. There is a God power in each that give us all but some way I have not been able to receive the help I need.
9/06/43 Letter: Is there something wrong with the kidneys or bladder?
What makes the abdomen swell? It get[s] quite large and hard in fact it has been that way for a long time. At times there is quite a severe pain in the right side. What causes that? Did I injure the end of the spine when I fell? Is there something wrong with the female organs? Is it caused by something in my subconscious mind? I would like to find my place and life work.
Is the liver affected? Why food is so long leaving my stomach? Would like to know what type of diet I need? What about the heart? Could this be caused from previous life?
If there is anything else you would like me to ask or or you want to know let me hear from you.

Dear Mr. Cayce
Received my reading of Jan. the 3rd and I am so grateful for the information. I'm sure it is going to be what I need. We have been studying the report trying to get all the information and light out of it we can.
So far I have not been to see the doctor but we are giving me the baths here at home. I also went on an orange juice diet.
The lower part of the body has been badly swollen it would be impossible for me to stretch out on the table.
Since I have been on the orange juice diet and have had two pine oil baths and the colon cleaned the swelling has reduced about half. I can walk with out discomfort. The kidneys are functioning better and I do not have any pain. I am also trying to stretch my back and we will massage and use the vibrator until I can go to the doctor for the treatments. I'm going to work hard on these treatments for I know they are going to be the answer to my prayers.
No I don't want to just get by - I want to live a full useful life - not just for my self but to be able to help others.
Mr. Cayce I can't thank you enough for what you have already done for me. I will keep you informed on my progress. Just think, all the doctors wanted to talk about and treat was the heart. How I have suffered for eight years trying first one doctor then another but not getting much help.

Dear Friend:
You sent me my reading and I started to follow the treatments and was getting along fine for a while then the same thing happened that always does after I take a few treatments. I began to swell up again and had to go back to bed.
I'm just beginning to get up again and I hope to try the treatments as soon as I possibly can stand to take them. I have improved but haven't been able to take the treatments like I should. But I will keep on trying and I'm also trying to know the truth about myself - I always try to be happy.
Just learned you have been ill. I'm sorry to hear that and hope you will soon be back to your normal health.
