3468]'s letter to EC:
"I don't know whether it is time for me to write to you or
not. I received your last letter February 5th, and there
isn't much of anything new to report. I am taking the KalDak
as you instructed. I think it has helped me in a general
way, given me a great appetite. I had to let up on it,
because I was eating too much.
"I can't see any difference in the tremor of my hands, and my
feet are not so well. It is getting harder for me to walk.
My doctor here and Mrs. [...] both say I am better, and I can
feed myself, which I could not do for nearly a year. I am
bothered with my left foot swelling some and ankle pains me
quite a lot.
"I consulted a neurologist in Ann Arbor, Michigan, Dr. Camp.
He is one of the really big men of the state. He prescribed
hyoscine, a powerful drug. My local doctor said I couldn't
stand it, but go ahead and try it. Well, he was right. It
only made me worse. So it is all very discouraging.
"My doctor here is giving me a tablet called Pavatrine [sic].
It is a synthetic vitamin preparation. That is all I am
taking, except the KalDak, and the hydrochloric acid dilute
that I told you about before, and a little Cascara as a
laxative.
"Now, Mr. Cayce, my heart goes out to you. I have confidence
in you. I want so much to get better. Please advise me what
to do. I am desperately hard up, but will raise the money if
you think there is anything can be done.
"In this last bulletin, you speak of what God can do for us,
and of course, we must try and do our part. I have tried so
hard, prayed so hard.
"Do you think it is time now for another reading? How much
will it cost? If it is time please give me a date..."
