This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 6th day of January, 1944, in accordance with request made by the self - [3525], new Associate Member of the Ass'n for Research and Enlightenment, Inc. via Mrs. R. F. Cooney.

Present: Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. [2767], Harmon Bro, Margaret and Frank Klepper.

TEXT

1. GC: You will go over the body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [3525].
3. As we find, there are disturbances that are preventing the better physical functioning of the body. While as yet there has not become an organic heart disturbance, we find that the condition will become organic unless changes are wrought in the effect to that circulation between lungs, heart and liver.
4. Then, these are conditions as we find them with this body:
5. The blood supply is high in the pressure. This is produced in the greater part by pressures that exist in the transverse and descending colon, and by too much flesh for the body-functionings - as through the abdominal areas.
6. These are the sources, then, of the disturbance - the obesity, the plethoric conditions in colon, and the effects these produce upon the general system.
7. As to the nerve forces - the pressures are produced in the central nervous system, especially through the areas in the 9th dorsal, so that we have a high blood pressure and an uneven flow of the blood back to the heart and the other organs.
8. Hence those conditions existing through the body as related to the activity of the sensory system; the feelings at times of the limbs being heavy, leaden or asleep, the poor circulation through arms, hands and lower limbs especially. These are the results of these disturbances.
9. In making applications for improvements:
10. There should first be given, very gently, SEVERAL high colonic irrigations - to relieve these tensions. The frequency of these would depend upon the responses. Do not attempt to give too great a quantity in the beginning. Be very easy and quiet with it. But do give at least the first two colonics within ten days or less - that is, the first two should be not farther apart than ten days.
11. Also begin at the same time to give a daily massage; not osteopathic adjustments but a massage and with this there may be used an electrically driven vibrator especially in the areas from the 6th dorsal to the lower sacrals. Give this for at least twenty to thirty minutes each day.
12. These will reduce the pressure, set up better eliminations, and relieve the poison from pressures through the body.
13. Then begin the grape juice diet, and REDUCE the body. Take at least three ounces of grape juice and one ounce of plain water (not carbonated), one-half hour before each meal and at bedtime.
14. Keep away from fats or sweets of any kind.
15. Have raw vegetables as a part of one meal each day, or let one meal consist chiefly of these.
16. Do these things and we will keep better forces for this body.

18. (Q) Are the dizzy spells and headaches caused by any serious condition?
    (A) Caused by this circulation that is so slow in returning to the activity of the central circulation - heart, lungs, liver, kidneys. And this produces, by this slow circulation, the extreme high blood pressure.
19. (Q) Are there any symptoms of malignancy?
    (A) No symptoms of malignancy. To be sure, there are symptoms of accumulations in pockets of lymph, but these should be emptied and eliminated by the carrying out of the suggestions outlined, especially with the vibrations and the massages.
20. (Q) Am I allergic to citrus fruits?
    (A) These under the present condition are not good. After there bas been a good irrigation and the vibrations have been used for some ten days, we find that the effect of citrus fruits will be entirely different. Then don't overdo it, but these are well in the diet. It will be much better if you will add a little lime with the orange juice, and a little lemon with the grapefruit - not too much, but a little. It will be much better and act much better with the body. For, many of these are hybrids, you see.
21. (Q) Is it advisable for me to continue operating the hotel, or should I secure a manager?
    (A) This will depend upon the responses that the body makes. It is well to have an assistant at all times, and you can rely more and more upon that one.
22. (Q) Would you suggest one to give the colonics?
    (A) Somebody that knows how! A nurse or one that gives colonics!
23. Do these and we will make for better conditions for this body.
